We came up to Cheshire for my sisters 90th birthday celebration. We booked here for an overnight stay. We were in the Pigsty. Totally different, to it's name. What a beautiful place. In a great setting. The whole place was furnished beautifully. It was so comfortable. I was sorry we were only there for one  night. Would love to come back 

Beautiful place.

We had booked to stay at "The Pigsty" for a family break. On calling to make arrangements to collect the key, we learned that there was another booking which clashed with ours, but the owner Eileen offered to put us in other accommodation, on the same site at Domvilles Farm. We explained that were bringing an elderly lady, (93 years) who was blind and needed a ground floor bedroom and WC. Eileen said that the Annex (adjoining the main farmhouse) would be suitable and we agreed. On arriving, we were pleased with the rural location, surrounded by green fields. There was plentiful parking.  We were delighted with the Annex and its pretty setting, facing the square courtyard of converted barns and large green lawn.  It has elegant decoration throughout, and was comfortable, clean and cosy. The double bedrooms on the ground floor and first floor were both spacious with ensuite WC and shower, which was perfect for us, especially as the  downstairs accommodation was step-free, for my elderly mum. As we were taking the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms, we also had the kitchen and lounge on the ground floor, to ourselves. From our upstairs bedroom window, we could see the cows in the field and distant views of trees, farms and fields. We enjoyed using the large double, electric Aga which was for both cooking and heating. Also, there was a large piano in the lounge, which we were invited to play!  The dining table was in the bay window of the lounge. This was bright during the day but the table would benefit from an uplight, to use in the evening and also was a bit wobbly. Eileen and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. When we asked where we could buy some milk, she kindly gave us a jug full, and a plate of delicious cakes to get us started. She also gave us some fresh eggs from the farm. She gave us some advice on where to find a shop and places to eat. We were interested in the farm activity. Eileen invited us to see the cows being milked one afternoon. Mr Oulton kindly accompanied us and explained some of the processes, which was fascinating to us Londoners. All in all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would like to return. During our long weekend we also visited Audley, and Stoke-on-Trent, and the Trentham Gardens and Shopping Village.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay

Perfect hospitality! Eileen is very tentative. Excellent rooms. Beautiful location and delicious breakfast. Can honestly say this is the best place ive stayed in 27 years! A real joy. Thank you hunni for an excellent 2 nights. A lovely time and location is excellent. Honestly this place is a real treasure!  You also see a beutiful nights sky and there are classic 4 poster beds. Beauty in its entirety xxxx love from myself and Mike. This is definitely a place i would highly recommend.

Perfect romantic getaway

This is a lovely place to stay with quaint rooms that are decorated in a rustic style with two or four poster beds. The B and B is part of a farm with several rooms and self catering accommodations available. The owner, Eileen, made our stay very pleasant and comfortable, offering us a choice of rooms and recommending places to eat nearby. 

Lovely countryside B and B

We had a lovely stay. So welcoming and accommodating. We were in the area for my sons wedding. There were 6 of us but has an extra for one night and we’re given an extra room. 10 young men joined us for breakfast and they were very happy for this. 
Loved our time on this working farm - puppies there at the time were fantastic fun - thankfully they were all spoken for!

The Stables - 4 night stay self catering.

Stayed here as a stopover from Glasgow to Bath. The room was in an outbuilding but was a two bedroomed self contained house. Our room had a 4 poster bed and looked out over a lovely garden. There was a galley kitchen and the host provided fresh milk. There was also a comfortable lounge and a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden. The host told us about a local inn that served food until 6pm within walking distance. It was the White Lion in Barthomley. Great place great food great ales. Breakfast was in the main farmhouse and there was a full array of fruits and cereals followed by a beautifully cooked and presented cooked breakfast with eggs straight from the hens in the coop. Can’t recommend highly enough

Lovely friendly farmhouse

A great B&B, in the countryside close to Stoke. Eileen our host, allocated the stable cottage to us. It was well appointed, private and spacious. We were treated to a warm welcome in the morning and were served up a delicious cooked breakfast. A recommended spot for a break in the Potteries

A great taste of the country 

We booked this as a stopover on our way back to Kent from a holiday in the Lake District.  Although we had booked the Stables, when we phoned to confirm the booking we were advise that we would be in the Pigsty instead.  It was a lovely and quirky little cottage with all that we needed for a three night stay.  Lovely cottage garden for sitting out in (we were very lucky with the weather!!).  Great location for the M6; would definitely recommend.
