We cannot say enough about our stay at the Premier Inn Newcastle South. Due to a family funeral, we stayed for 9 days.  The staff were welcoming, helpful, and accommodating.  The room was perfect for staying the length of time we needed, and it was comfortable and clean.  The bonus was a play area right outside, which was fun for our little boys. The Premier Inn is right next to the Metro making it convenient to go into Newcastle.  We highly recommend staying.

Family Friendly

What an amazing stay that was, I felt so welcomed and accommodated by the staff. Never felt better at a hotel before. 
The food in the resteraunt was so nice as well, fast service and a great place to go when its late as its next to the hotel 

Great Hotel

Fire alarms went off at 2 in the morning by mistake. Stood in cold car park for an hour waiting for firefighters who could not turn the alarm off as there was a fault with the system and had to move to the other building. No refund given.
Both breakfast and evening meals were poor and well overpriced.

Disappointed 

This is our go to Premier Inn when we visit family in Newcastle. It is a great value, friendly hotel and that is something not to be under appreciated in the current market. Staff at reception and in the nearby excellent Wheatsheaf pub always acknowledge us, a small thing but quite lacking in other places. They remember us from year to year. The rooms are perfectly clean, serviceable and not as painted by other reviewers. The location next to a metro stop is ideal for getting into town and it is so quiet allowing a great night sleep. 

After visiting a Premier Inn in Wales prior to this one, where we were ignored in the main, the staff here need to be cherished and Premier Inn should not rest on its laurels and acknowledge that this particular hotel is in need of a much overdue update.

Our ‘go to’ Premier Inn

Stayed at this hotel to go to the football match. There is a metro stop close by which is convenient for getting into Newcastle city centre. The room was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Would stay again when back for football..

Football trip

Stayed here yet again. We only stayed 1 night as we were travelling up to Scotland. This hotel never fails to keep us very happy. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The pub next door have a good choice of meals but the carvery is brilliant. 

Yet another visit

Stayed one night was good bed was comfortable and room good size and clean 
Good staff very helpful let me check into room early that was a great help and located well for airport and metro into Newcastle 

Good nights rest

This hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. Mould in bathroom, rusty heater in bedroom and a horrible musty smell. I read the reviews the night before I went, I should have read them sooner and booked elsewhere. There are lots of other hotels close by. Staff, can't fault them.

Newcastle airport south

Lovely clean and tidy hotel. Metro was a short walk away which takes you into the city centre. Secure parking. Friendly and welcoming staff. Have used this hotel on several occasions, due to availability and value for money 

Value for money

A great location for my trip, easy to find off the A1. Safe and secure parking with barriers. Really friendly and helpful,staff, The room was immaculate. The shower was a fantastic shower.
Great choice of food and very helpful staff.
