Nice kitchen dining area on lower ground floor with large flat screen TV, netflix etc. Probably not suitable for older folks as stairs are bit steep but to be expected in period property. House was warm and cosy and beds surprisingly comfortable. Was going to suggest bigger towels but then discovered they provide nice big toweling robes in the wardrobes.

Good Value

Booked this for myself and a friend after a day at the races. Wouldn’t have booked if I’d known what this place was like and was a bit embarrassed to bring friend here.
Initially the room looked ok. However on closer inspection the carpet was filthy, all old sweet papers on one side of the bed and floor obviously hadn’t been vacuumed. Carpet filthy. Pulled cupboard out to plug in phone charger and stains all over wall. Decorative pillows covered in white crusty stains. 
Walls thin.. lots of noise. Couple upstairs having extremely loud intercourse for a few hours! 
Dripping sound of water coming in somewhere from outside. Mattress needs replacing as could feel the springs coming through and a tiny double bed where feet hung off the end. Shared bathroom not ideal although I was aware of this prior to booking. Like staying in a youth hostel. Good location which is the only real benefit. Was glad to leave

Dirty and hostel like

Prepaid the hotel before the stay. Received an email a week before stay with another guests contact details (!) advising no staff present on check in so a key safe system in operation. Advised of further email to follow with key safe code after confirmation of hotel T&Cs. No email followed. 
Decided to email hotel - emailed 4 or 5 times prior to stay. Phoned and phoned. No response. Got to hotel and unable to get in. Phoned and phoned and emailed. No response. Sat outside hotel for 3 hours. Decided to spend more money on another hotel nearby that was terrible. Weekend ruined. NEVER NEVER book this hotel. 

Awful. Shouldn’t be in business 

Stayed for 4 nights while on a course in the Area, parking hit and miss, managed to park up the road but had a long walk with my luggage as travelling alone. Very professional communication from start to finish, felt well informed regarding my stay, unfortunately the terms and conditions seemed a little bit excessive, I've never stayed anywhere requiring a contract to be signed so that surprised me, but I understand the reasons behind it.

The property is decorated beautifully throughout, nice bedroom with lovely finishing touches. I really liked the modern feeling to the property. Some of the kitchen cabinets still had their cellophane wrapping on.  Nice wet rooms too. 

Travelling as a lone female for the first time I think I made a mistake staying here. The main reason I chose this property was because there is a kitchen but actually I didn't make use of it at all, as I realised once I arrived I was staying with complete strangers, no fault of anyone but myself as I didn't think it through, but once I got here it dawned on me that I didn't feel comfortable cooking or storing food so I didn't use the kitchen at all. 

I didn't see any other guests the whole time I was here, however I'm aware that I locked the door behind me every evening on entering the property, and every morning when I left the front door was unlocked, so I didn't feel particularly safe, however that said I didn't actually experience any issues but just worried me knowing anyone could walk in the front door, and the fact the bathrooms are shared and on the ground floor also made me feel very uneasy. 

So overall my stay was OK, bed was very comfortable, nice cool room in the middle of a heatwave, minimal noise from outside (however staircase very creaky inside the property) convenient location, unfortunately had slight issue with one of the showers in that I couldn't turn the temperature down but the other shower was fine, lovely property in the right context, would feel happier staying here if I had a companion but overall I wouldn't book again. 

I don't think this property is suited to families or couples really, I'm not 100% sure who it would be targeted to as it's shared facilities, but in the right context this property is stunning. No major issues, stay was comfortable. 



Nice furnishings 

The room was clean, very tidy house, shared bathrooms which were spotless, we went down stairs and sat in the garden which was lovely, indoors ther was a dining area and kitchen if you wanted to use it

Went racing

Booked and stayed the night with my husband after being at Newmarket races.
No problems with booking, accommodation was clean and comfortable.
The bathrooms are shared it's a midterrace house which has been converted into 6 bedrooms with 2 shared shower rooms on the ground floor. There are key holders outside which you get sent a code for on the day of your arrival to access room key.
There's a shared kitchen/dining area (there is no tea/coffee making facility in bedrooms)
It's centrally located in Newmarket parking is on the street 
If you are looking for somewhere Central and clean in Newmarket it ticks the box
It wouldn't be suitable for a romantic getaway

Posh student house

After buying tickets to Newmarket I started searching for accommodation in the area and Mill House stood out from all the rest. It looked stylish, clean & close to the town/the racecourse itself. 
Straight from booking we received very professional emails in regards to our stay which gave me greater confidence in my choice. 
Upon arrival we were not let down, it was clean, modern and cosy. I could not recommend this place higher and I wouldn’t stay in any other place in Newmarket. 
When we were driving home my friend realised he left his phone at the accommodation, I emailed Oliver our host and he said he’d found it and would be more then happy to send it back to us in the post. Even after we offered payment for the post he refused and said he was more then happy to send it free of charge. They went the extra mile even after our stay and it was the cherry on top of and already perfect stay.
