I stayed as a solo traveller and was pleasantly surprised to have a very spacious and comfortable double room with a sea view and ensuite bathroom. The room was furnished very comfortably with everything you could need.

The location was fantastic too with just about everywhere in Newquay in walkable distance. There was plenty of parking space too if you wanted to drive.

Breakfast was very plentiful and filled me up for the day. The garden was great to lounge around by the pool, I really felt welcome and at home. Would definitely stay here again, thanks Sharon and Geoff for a lovely time.

Everything was great

Great location...short walk from beach and harbour...very friendly and helpful owners. 
Sharon and Geoff.    Without Sharon's helpful advice I doubt I would have managed to get into the wet suit for body boarding!  We had not holidayed in Newquay before and both Sharon and Geoff were very helpful and informative as to the area/bus service, places to visit etc.   Exceptionally clean rooms with a fantastic swimming pool and beautiful garden....breakfast excellent - nothing is too much trouble and promptly served to enable you to get your day underway..  Private parking.  Couldn't ask for more,  excellent value for money, we would certainly recommend .   We both left after a weeks stay feeling so relaxed and refreshed. Crumble the dog adds to the lovely homely feeling at Gratton Lodge. Many thanks Geoff and Sharon for a lovely holiday.

Superb Hospitality - Perfect place to stay

Just got home after spending eight brilliant days with Sharon  and Geoff. They were great  host's  and were only too happy to pass on any ideas on where to eat and places to see. Our room was very comfortable right by the pool. We can't wait to go back next year.

We stayed here for 4 nights with family in July. We had 3 rooms between us all, one in the main house and two in the bungalow rooms by the pool. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again when staying in Newquay. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of choice from cereals and fruit to full English. The pool was a great bonus but unfortunately couldn’t use it much thanks to the great British weather. It’s a beautiful house and lovely gardens. Sharon and Geoff are wonderful hosts and the place is cleaned throughly everyday and they always have advice on where to go or places to visit. Lots of helpful leaflets etc in the foyer when you enter. A great location for the town and Fistral beach. Will definitely return!

Brilliant stay

From the initial booking contact to leaving this superb accommodation, nothing was too much for Geoff & Sharon.
Lovely hosts, excellent location, wonderful breakfast choice. 
Great honesty bar, heated swim pool, large south-facing garden, very quiet at night and spotless rooms.
Nothing was at fault here and I wish I had booked here in previous years, but definitely my first choice next visit. 
There is no time to be back at night, but to just be quiet as other guests may be asleep. 
The pool cover can be rolled on and off as required and the rotary drier is for drying towels and swimwear in the garden. 
Barbeques are permitted, but not dogs, as the owners have their own pooch. 
Despite being on the road leading to the surfing beach of Fistral, double glazed windows ensure to traffic is heard inside. 
My mate and I had the outside chalets, with kettle in room, WiFi code available, morning cleaner and comfy beds. 
Our stay was very relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable at the guest house/B&B and I highly recommend it. 
A family was offered some ice packs, a small fridge in their room and had a birthday banner put up which shows the level of hospitality given. 
A big thanks to Geoff & Sharon for everything.

Superb hospitality

My husband and I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Gratton lodge. Location was great with a 10min walk to fistral beach.Sharon and Geoff were very accomodating providing nice clean rooms and a good breakfast.The garden and pool made a great area to soak up the afternoon sun along with a drink from the honesty bar. The free parking was a bonus.We were even able to leave the car there on our day of depature whilst we spent a few more hours taking in the views with a walk along Fistral beach.

Ideal location

This is our second visit to Gratton Lodge, the last time being 3 years ago.
We stayed in the garden room we had previously and it was all just as lovely and welcoming as we remembered.

The owners, Sharon and Geoff, are very welcoming and accommodating and having a lovely heated pool and sun loungers just adds to the comfort of the holiday.
We are big walkers so find the Gratton lodge is really central for us to get to lots of places on foot and if we want to just relax and not go out, having a garden room and the pool feels like we have our own space to do so. 

Whether you are a dog lover or not, Crumble, the resident dog, is just an absolute pleasure to spend time with. However, if you are not a fan of dogs, then he will leave you to it no problem at all. 

Personally I love him to bits and make a fuss of him the whole time.

We totally recommend Gratton lodge and can’t wait to come back again as soon as we can :) 

Amazing 

Have just returned home after five night stay.Sharon is an amazing and helpful host.First floor room was clean with a very comfortable bed,only negative was very small shower room.Breakfasts were cooked to order and very tasty.Star feature was a stunning pool in secluded garden which I managed to make use of on three days of my stay.
