We decided to visit this afternoon to do a spot of shopping in Warrenpoint and popped in for a spot of lunch. 
Between both myself & my mum we both agreed that the food was up there with some of the best food in Northern Irelands restaurants. We couldn't fault it. We were also served by a lovely girl (petite with blonde hair) she was very attentive and the service altogether was amazing even though there was a party on. 
Absolutely fantastic all round and we will 100% be back. Thank you x 

Fantastic Food & Service 

Three of us had dinner at the Whistledown on Wednesday.   One of us has a gluten and dairy intolerance and does not eat meat.    The Whistledown is coeliac registered - well done and had absolutely no problems in adjusting dishes to meet the above requirements.   All the dishes from starter to dessert were outstanding.  Fiona had first class customer service. Firstly on accurately taking the orders. secondly Serving them timely and Thirdly was wonderfully personable and professional.   She fully engaged with us.  Keep it up Fiona.   The superb service was underpinned by Bernie checking in too with to see all was satisfactory.    We found the hotel had a lovely homely atmosphere with lovely view over the water and all staff were gracious and professional.  Food superb for all three of us.  We left feeling we had a great evening in beautiful surroundings with staff who nurtured us and who did a fab job in ensuring we had a great evening with glorious food in appearance, taste and service. First class quality of food and service excellence at all levels

From star to finish our stay was wonderful! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is served to your table and it’s delicious. The chef knows how to season well. The bar decor is lovely and has entertainment at the weekend. The band last night called far and away were brilliant. The views of the estuary from the beer garden is breathtaking. Best thing about warrenpoint is this hotel! 

Wonderful hotel 

Called in for breakfast because we heard dinner was very good thinking breakfast would be the same. It was more like something you would get from a motorway cafe. Beans were stuck together in one lump. The rest of it was greasy and tasteless. And paying over £20 pound I would expect something better from a hotel with a good reputation. I hope they're not serving this to people who are staying with them. Don't think I'll be back, not for breakfast anyway. 

Average 

Have ate in the whistledown three times before and the food has been beautiful. Have tried all different things from burgers to steaks to curries and all have  been unreal. Last night stayed over for the 1st time. The room was spotless comfy and nothing wasnt forgot about. The bed is so comfy as well. This time got the bang bang chicken rolls and chicken fajitas. Again 10/10. Waiters always so attentive and the owner Sarah made time to come over talk away and make you feel so welcome. Cant wait to come back!!

One of the best places!!

Another fabulous stay. Love this place. Food absolutely gorgeous.. staff very friendly and always great atmosphere... room spotless and lovely view.. Great breakfast too. Live music in bar, place was buzzing. Will definitely return hopefully in summertime

Fab stay again

Myself and my husband stayed here for two nights this weekend. We have stayed many times before. This hotel is a hidden gem . Stunning restaurant and bar. The decor is beautiful. Food is fabulous. Staff are so friendly. The stairs could do with a little spruce up but other than that it’s perfect! Can’t wait for our next stay, Sharon Maguire.

Fabulous home from home

Just home today from a last minute break at The Whistledown Hotel in Warrenpoint...whatva fantastic find. We hadn't booked an packed just in case an the receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Had an meal of their carbanara an omg it didnt disappoint..amazing flavours...hubby had the stir fry an it was just as gorgeous...staff were all so so friendly an couldnt have done enough...room was beautiful..basic but so so comfortable..Best sleep in a hotel in a while. Was so looking forward to breakfast after out lovely dinner an it was sooo nice... I honestly can not fault this hotel...staff worked very hard at every aspect of their jobs. Decor inside was so beautiful....we have booked to come back again in march. Warrenpoint itself it a lovely beachside town...beautiful areas to walk an gorgeous park just outside the hotel...love this place

So good we've booked again

Lovely weekend in the Whistledown. Laura was on bar on arrival and could not do enough to make or weekend welcoming. Great girl. The 2 Pauls on the bar at night time were great with the banter but still were polite. Will be back in 2023🎄🎅

Great staff 

3 star hotel  who are obviously economising big time but charging high prices is a no no for a potential  returning customer as it's a fal
qqse economy. Poor lighting throughout the outdated building. They are so mean not to give even one single cheap biscuiit or a wee bottle of water, that goes against Irsh hospitality. It's the small things that matter. I am not surprised they are closing for two weeks. Your  staff are friendly and welcoming. Get a new night porter as he is totally unprofessional and nearly reported to the PSNI. If you have a mobile keep it in your pocket or behind the bar but not on the bar to avoid confusion with a customer thinking it's their phone after a few drinks.
