Thank you to Lough And Quay Complex for the amazing food served at our wedding reception! The food was truly divine. A definite 10/10!! It was so much more than we expected. Sean & his team went over and beyond for us throughout the whole weekend and were so helpful and kind. All of our guests complimented the delicious food served! 
We are so grateful for all your help and planning for our big day. We would highly recommend anybody planning wedding to consider Lough & Quay.

Very pleasant stay at this quirky little hotel with plenty of character.  

Fantastic view overlooking the harbour. Reception staff was very very friendly and welcoming.

The next morning fry up was lovely, always a bonus to get good old spud bread on your plate.  Can't fault our stay in any way.

PLEASANT OVER NIGHT STAY

This was a bar extension to what was meant to be a Italian Pizza and food restraunt. We ordered from a full menu and 45 mins later our food had not arrived . The excuse was the steak needed to be well done for the sandwich and could not be cut until it was cooked . A further 15 mins later after asking a polite barman the food arrived well presented but not what we ordered . I had ordered garlic potatoes and a corn of tte cob and my partner onion rings . What made matters worse was no forks were there so we up and went . 
This place needs better managed if it is to make a healthy business but perhaps it's preference was to serve the many underage teeenage ladies with drink 

I'll avoid and I suggest you do as well

This place is outdated nothing as advertised rooms are terrible talk about over priced and the food couldn’t Even make a pizza the first order came out wrong the second pizza came out half cooked nothing said we contacted the owners and no reply what’s that tell you and you couldn’t here yourself in the bar with loud music blasting

We've just had another lovely chill-out overnight stay in the Lough and Quay.  We literally parked the car across the road at the quayside and were very warmly greeted on arrival. All guests are treated in this manner. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a comfortable break. We were lucky the weather was so kind as we were able to get out for a short walk after our arrival, and after our breakfast on the morning we left. Our delicious breakfast was freshly cooked by Bernie, and both herself and Edel just couldn’t do enough for us. We are already planning another stay later in the summer.  It's the personal touch that wins hands down each time in the Lough and Quay - not to mention the lovely location overlooking the quays, so relaxing.

We've returned once again!

I’m now staying  at the lock and quay it’s 3.45am and I’m still awake as there is so much noise from the bar below.music so loud 
Seems like a after hours party
Obviously no thought for quests upstairs

Extremely bad.
This is not the Vicchia Roma of old!!!!
I would call it an expensive Whetherspoons however that would be an insult to Whetherspoons.
Dirty booths, left waiting 10 minutes to be seated, drinks order took 10 minutes, then they came in dribs and drabs.
Extremely expensive for what it is and hardly any vegy options. Fire alarm went off twice and a band was starting up.......
Definetly just a bar for questionably underage drinkers. Also very loud and you couldn't hear yourself think.

We had to leave after 45 minutes of being seated and just receiving our drinks.

I rang a proper Italian restaurant in Newry,  Sapori Italiani and booked a table for ten people..... This wasn't a problem and they saved our night. Fresh home cooked food, good price and service was exceptional. 

This review is for the restaurant, dont know what its called but sells itself as a pizza/grill place.

First thing to say is the place was freezing, we were sat beside the fire but it wasn't lit. Second thing is that the toilets were filthy, the ladies were 'out of order' and tbf so were the males, but they didn't have a sign. There was an inch of piss on the floor, the seat was saturated and the hand dryer didnt work. Needless to say my first 10 minutes in this place didnt leave me longing to order.

To say the service was slow would be an understatement, we sat down at 5 and it was 5.20 before I eventually asked someone to take a drink order. It was 5:35 before the first drinks arrived, another 10 for the bottle of wine.

We were in a party with 6 adults and 6 kids. Kids had pizza, they ate it but they were covered in flour, you could taste it and as an ooni owner and amateur pizza chef this is just bad!

The adults had the steaks and the smoked platter.. steaks were ok but the platters, which are apparently the restaurants signature dish were horrible, the smoked sausages in particular were just cheap supermarket pork sausages, maybe denny or cookstown.

We sat with our half eaten main courses in front of us for at least 45 minutes. TBF with the staff, who were always nice but clearly out of their depth, it got busy and there wan nowhere near enough of them. There was no sign of any leadership either. Someone to direct staff to clear tables, take dessert menus, it was just chaos.

We ordered dessert, three kids got them, nobody else did. after another 30-40 minutes we were told the blender was broke.

When you drop £4-500 on a family meal you can at least expect a few basics, heat, cleanliness and decent service... none of those were present. when the food is poor that is just an extra kick in the face.

In conclusion i would just say do not go to this place

Avoid!

Stayed here for one night and loved it. Our superior room was very comfortable and big enough to have a dance in. There were great views of the sea and the busy harbour from our corner room. 
The hotel is in a great location for bars and restaurants in the town.
Breakfast was a tasty Ulster fry and served by very friendly staff. 
Our host Edel was  very friendly and helpful with her knowledge of the local area. 
I wont hesitate to stay here again when I am in the area.

Great location, great room, great view, great hotel

Location, staff and breakfast are the three things which would make me stay again.
Conveniently located on the centre of Warrenpoint, the Lough and Key is close to the harbour and all major amenities with a great selection of restaurants close by. Secondly, the staff are very obliging and could not be more helpful or friendly. Lastly the breakfast is made to order so you get exactly what you want freshly made which is more efficient for them and better for the guest. 
The room we stayed in was large with a nice view of the lough. If I had to write up a con I would say the bed could have done with a new mattress as I felt it lacked a little support but it didn’t impinge my stay really. Overall I would recommend the Lough and Key.
