I stayed three nights, I asked for ground floor room, which was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had all necessary facilities. Bathroom was excellent . Breakfast was delicious and there was a good selection to choose from. My family joined me for evening meal which was delicious. Price for stay and meal were very reasonable. I can thoroughly recommend and I will definitely stay again.

Visited our regular last week, but just updating a new version of the Wheatsheaf as I forgot to add all of the staff names on the photograph, sorry for the confusion.
I hope that this arrives on-line correctly, as usual the staff were great again.

I work nearby and we often go to the Wheatsheaf for a lovely lunch, never have any complaints, food is always brilliant with a good selection of drinks and service is always great! Will keep going back!

Always great at the Wheatsheaf

We have always enjoyed a meal there when visiting locally on an overnight stay to the area. However, our first visit in five years to the restaurant and things have declined! Ordered a standard fish and chips (£16.95) and the fish felt like it had been sitting there for hours. Chewy and dry around the edges. My son ordered onion rings as part of the additional items (£1.50) on his burger and we were charged £4.50 for three onion rings. I questioned it and the waitress apologised and said that it was correct at 4.50. Side note - the waitress was lovely and very apologetic, no complaints aimed at her. 

The neighbouring table also complained about their meal which only compounded our evening. This will be my final visit to what was once a lovely place to eat. 

Quality of food questionable 

Stopped off, on way down south for a spot of lunch. Find the place by pure accident,  happy accident as it turns out. 
Situated in a historic small town surrounded by a raft of ageing buildings. 
We walked in  and was greeted by someone who was interested that we were interested in the surroundings and even brought over a brochure describing the village of Crick.
The food was excellent and well exceeded expectations. 
We understand they offer bed and breakfast, and we could well take them up on their offer next time on a long journey and see more of what the village has to offer. 

A great place just off the M1

It's a nice place, the B&B is very good and the room has a lots of space. The restaurant is nice with interesting menu,  great staff. The Wheatsheaf is grateful combination between a pub, a restaurant and B&B.

Nice place

This is a village pub which does rooms and, like many country pubs, does really great food. I had had a terrific Sunday lunch here before I booked into their B&B and I have now stayed there a number of times.

Although they call it a B&B rather than a hotel, the rooms are equipped to the standard of a budget hotel chain (spare pillows in the room, tea, coffee and fancy biscuits, TV with Freeview, comfortable mattress etc) but the room rate includes a breakfast sourced to the same high standard as the rest of their menu. There is, of course, a full English with sausages that clearly come from a local butcher, but also all the other options we have come to expect nowadays of a good breakfast menu such as smashed avocado on toast and vegetarian and vegan options. It's all cooked to order - only the cereals, fruit juices etc are on a self-serve buffet.

If I had to find something they could improve on, it would be that the breakfast service can be a little slow if a number of people come down at the same time, but not to the point that it is problematic. Also, as a woman travelling alone, I would appreciate it if staff could make some gesture to let me know they have noticed me when I arrive at pub to check in or come down for breakfast. I know they know I'm there, but a quick smile or nod would stop me from feeling invisible as they busltle around me.

Great value, great beakfast

Had a meal and overnight stay here, and have to say I was delighted. The pub itself was very nice and I had a superb meal (the pork belly is worth the trip alone).

And the room was just superb, spacious, spotless, massive shower, and possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I could not have asked for more.

I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

A great stay and great food.

Spent 2 nights here on a BuyaGift voucher.  The room was nice, well equipped and comfortable with a very modern shower room.  Breakfasts were excellent.  Coventry is about 30 minutes drive away and Rugby about 15 minutes.  The village itself is pretty and we spent a morning walking along the Union Canal towpath.

Great bed and breakfast

We stopped off here on our way through on our narrow boat holiday. I booked ahead and they were fab about the fact that we were half an hour late - canal life! 
Food was spot on - everyone enjoyed it. Half of our group had pizzas which were proper rustic and jam packed with ingredients. My veggie sausages and mash were lovely. Would definitely recommend this place - nice pint of ale too!
