Stayed for a night in October 2023 - I used to live locally, so was already aware of it being a very pleasant, welcoming pub. The room was very small but clean and well-appointed, it would have been nice to have a bedside light and a working TV remote, but not grumbling at the price charged. Very clean, quiet, and I slept well. Sadly had to leave early so I couldn't try breakfast, but they kindly filled a couple of flasks with coffee. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely pub B&B

First time at the Woolpack and we will return. We read a couple of recent negative reviews and I’d like to balance this by leaving a positive one.Roast beef & Yorkshire pudding doesn’t get any better than this. Lovely medium rare beef served with beautifully cooked seasonal vegetables - carrot, kale, cauliflower cheese and crispy roast potatoes

I had a cheese board for desert which I was pleased to see had local cheeses rather than the usual mundane choices

Exceptional Sunday Lunch 

Popped in for a quick lunch. Had the daily special of scallops with a fennel salad, the crispy squid, beetroot with goats cheese, hazelnuts and a kalamansi sorbet all which were lovely. We also had a charcuterie board which was a little generic. It would have been nice to see some locally produced hams. Still one of the nicest pub/restaurants in the area. 

A June lunch 

We met some friends for supper on Saturday evening. The whole meal was delicious, all the waiting staff were friendly and easygoing which really added to the whole atmosphere.
We finished our meal with a “Solero” which was white chocolate, passion fruit and mango yumminess! Im not sure whether the sorbet was mango or passion fruit it was just bloody delicious and certainly didn’t go far with 4 spoons.
Great pub with extremely good food, we will definitely be back.

Fabulous!

we really enjoyed our short stay at  the Woolpack. Great atmosphere and a an exceptionally well kept inn surrounded by fabulous countryside. The room was well equipped and comfortable with some nice touches and the dinner exceptional. 

Fabulous

A lovely lunch. Been a little while since we have been here and definitely a little more modern than last year. We shared a generous portion of squid to start maybe just 30 seconds too long in the fryer. We both had goose confit as main. I think I was expecting a leg possibly but it came shredded with a variety of different preparations of jerusalem artichokes. A goose fat chip and a tasty sauce made this a really fantastic main. Service was very good. Excellent. 

A November visit

Whomever is in the kitchen at the Woolpack, take a bow. Fantastic food. The Crispy squid is first class, and the mackerel starter lived up to its promise. Both our mains were impressive, the venison and the goose. Go there, try it.

I enjoyed a lovely outdoor lunch at The Woolpack Inn. 

My lunch was one of the best pub lunches I have had all year,  my pictures do not do the food justice.

The Woolpack Inn Northington

Stayed at the Woolpack, from arriving to departing we were made very welcome, we found the Woolpack on a search as we were at a local family event, so sadly didn’t stay for dinner. Arrived back later that evening and sampled drinks at the character bar with friendly locals. The breakfast was excellent and the coffee in the room was delicious, we loved it and will definitely return! (Ps. Don’t normally write reviews, but the Woolpack and staff deserved it)

Super place to stay

We stayed after completing 13 miles of the Three Castles Path which stretches from Windsor to Winchester - it was a perfect end to a tiring day. 
The food at dinner and breakfast the next morning was amazing.
