Lovely Sunday lunch and superb food in general. Fab home made chips. Very friendly staff and lovely homely pub. Would recommend booking as very popular.  Chicken in Stilton sauce very nice! One for our favourites list.

Excellent all round

Proper home cooked food. Will be a regular on a sunday . Currently doing buy 2 4 1 on certain meals. Warm friendlt atmosphere. Very well priced. Wont be having a starter next time as i was over stuffed ofter my dinner

Sunday lunch

We had a delicious lunch at The Holly Bush today and are so full that it is almost impossible to contemplate eating anything else this evening! Our last visit must have been about five years ago, and the food is still as good and the portions still as enormous as we remembered them. My lamb's liver was cooked to perfection and the gravy was gorgeous. 

I gather from other recent reviews that they have a relatively new chef, who as far as we are concerned is doing a very good job. We could hardly believe that a main course and ice cream for three people, plus a half-pint glass of cider for me, cost only £33.

Great food, nice restaurant

Called in ‘on spec’ for an evening Meal and very glad we did - a nice cosy pub, which gives a very comfortable environment and every where was very clean. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. An excellent menu was equalled by the quality of the food. Our first visit, but definitely won’t be our last.

Cosy venue for an excellent meal

the staff are very friendly and quick serving you. The food is good value for money here, very tasty and portion sizes are very generous! it is a very quirky building with loads of hidden rooms but very clean and homely. the grounds of the place are kept tidy and there is a huge beer garden and a kids play area too.

GREAT SERVICE AND VALUE FOR MONEY

Visited Holly bush inn tonight New menus but with a lot of old favourite dishes still on . All 10 of us had lovely meals . Nice to meet the new Greek chef who came and spoke to us . Definitely go again

Met up with some friends for food and a few nights stay, great service, the lady on reception "Carol" and Martin were very helpful and friendly, both provided excellent service and with a smile, the food was freshly cooked and beautifully presented, compliments to the in house Greek chief, kalos

There was a good sized beer garden, tables and chairs with a umbrella on most, outside service included, there's is a bouncy castle and swings ideal for the kids, it's safe and there's plenty of room to run around, they did have dog bowls outside and fresh water was provided, I'm not on the rules for dog's but there is a sign saying dog's must be kept on a lead at all times.

The room seemed dated and reminded me of my nan's house with the decor, seemed clean at first glance, the cleaners must be small or don't look up, top of the wardrobe and ceiling fan were very dusty, there was fresh clean bedding, the room had everything that is needed for a couple of nights stay, free WiFi available.

Friendly Staff with Great Food and Service...

We have just called into the Holly Bush by chance and although busy they still found us a table. 
We both ordered drinks while we decided what to eat. Very quick with the drinks and polite and helpful while deciding.  We both had the Sunday lunch (1 ham and 1 beef). Really big portions and excellent quality. 
We would normally expect to pay a lot more so even better when the price is cheaper too. 
Definitely worth a visit and we will again

Sunday dinner

Quiet but lively had a meal with family and was not disappointed great staff and friendly manager and chef, I ordered the minted lamb trio with the chunky hand cut chips and it was cooked perfectly thanks to the Greek chef it was was well worth the money and will definitely be returning.

Great food

Booked a table foe Sunday evening, restaurant was busy but nit hectic, the ambience was first class. The chouce of food on thd menu was outstanding, snd the prices were very good. We chose the Sunday mixed roast, it was a good home cooked meal. Served hot. Wide range of  beers and wines to chose from.
Lastly can i mrntion the staff Martin snd Carol, who were  so welcoming snd helpful.
TRY THE HOLLY BUSH, you won t be disappointed
