We stayed in Daisy Lodge in August it was like being home to home everything you possibly wanted or needed was in the house. 
Fishing was about five steps from the back door as luck would have it we had five lovely days of nice weather and one rainy windy day we celebrated my birthday in the ferry in altogether it was a lovely week away I would recommend it to anybody even if you don’t fish just for the peace and quiet.We are definitely going to book again for next year not been fishing for over 20 years so bought a load of fishing gear and a license been sat in the garage for over two years But once we arrived first thing Sunday morning I was out there with my son Fishing certainly brought back some memories like I say definitely recommend look forward to seeing you again next year many thanks for a great week.

Like being home from home. 

(This was in June 2010 - ignore date given).   When walking along Colegate, no. 17 doesn't really stand out, and its entrance is through a side passage.   But inside, it is a very good B&B.   The highlight is the garden area, which is the access to several mews type rooms.   There are a lot of bird feeders among the trees and plants in the garden, and when having breakfast you can watch numerous birds collecting their food.

An unusual place which seems like being in the country at the back.

As we have just spent a night in Norwich (2nd April) I thought I would check out the reviews of the B & B where we stayed for 2 nights in November 2017. 

The free parking overnight was fine but the daytime parking cost a bomb. Some recent reviewers have pointed out that the owner was grumpy - our experience too. Concerning the room one bedside table was slightly damaged so it had been turned around to conceal it. Why not repair it - at £95 a night there should be money enough in the coffers to do this.

Because of the expensive parking, last November (we come to Norwich for the Glyndebourne Tour) we stayed at the Premier Inn - which is where chose to stay again this week. It is a bit closer to the centre, 10 minutes from the Theatre Royal, £5 a day parking concession at St Andrews car park a step away and £75 maximum a night. What's not to like. Oh and charming staff on reception and in the dining room. 

Why put up with grumpy owner and nightmare parking when a chain hotel can do it all so much better.

Reviews of 17  Colegate

Had some difficulty navigating the one way system in Norwich but managed to find BnB ok. Owners were very nice and helpful, our room was very good as was breakfast. The location is perfect as very central and within walking distance of the Castle museum (where I was getting married :-)   Would be more than happy to stay here again,

Great stay .  ..  .

Me and my sister had a wonderful stay here. Located so close to the city centre but down a quiet road so didn't hear a peep all night! Our room was lovely and had everything we needed. We looked out onto a great courtyard. If the weather had been warmer we would have sat out there. Our hosts Jim and Glynis were very welcoming and Jim went above and beyond by helping us find the car park (free parking). Breakfast was freshly cooked and could not fault it. It was a perfect weekend. Thank you.

Wonderful comfy stay!

Had a delightful overnight stay here , the B & B is lovely and the hosts incredibly welcoming ..even as down to a moment of our madness we arrived a week early !!.but we were accommodated perfectly . Bed comfy , wonderful breakfast ,clean , great shower and all in all a perfect stay and well recommended. Location is great with the river and cathedral a short stroll away . Car park around the back makes it very accessible.
