Cannot fault this hotel and staff. Just a 5 minute walk into town, 2 pubs and a small convenience store right on your doorstep. Plus the added bonus of being able to park on site at no extra cost. The room was spotlessly clean, even under the beds!!! Microwave, kettle, refrigerator and additional sink for washing dishes and drainer.
Just a final thank you to Alex, the manager, nothing was too much trouble, you made our stay all the more pleasurable, thank you!
Will be recommending you for sure

Enjoyable weekend stay....

Great location, 10 minutes to the town centre, friendly helpful staff and parking was good, great shower. Unfortunately, bad smells in the room, poor furniture  with creaky bed and naff cupboards, incredibly noisy mini fridge that kept me awake. Church right next door with bells ringing from 8.30am onwards. Budget hotel for not such a Budget price. Make you own mind up if you want to stay here, we won't be but the desk guy said they've just taken over and improvements are imminent. Let's hope so.

Budget hotel, dont expect too much

Room was relatively clean although not perfect. The toilet bowl was extremely thick with a huge buildup of limescale which I managed to remove myself. Also a smell.of urine, drains? The bed moved every time we did and unfortunately the room remained bright and lit up all night as curtains weren't really fit for purpose and the emergency light was extremely bright. Staff all lovely and pleasant and very helpful.

OK for a quick stopover

What a great find
Our vehicle had broken down and we needed an overnight stay, we found this hotel and just how pleasant it was
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and the room on offer was a lovely double with en-suite and kitchenette 
Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable 
Would highly recommend

Great find

This is a budget hotel  that is clean, well equipped and well situated. An easy walk to the city centre, with ample free car parking. The staff were friendly and provided extra pillows and teabags etc on request.  Extremely good value.

Very satisfied

The kid at reception told me not to worry about entering my son's car's reg number in their computer as no one would care about cars there for a few mins. WRONG! He's been fined £100 by the cowboy outfit who monitor the car park. That's the first observation.

The second observation, is why oh why, is there a fridge and a microwave in the hotel bedroom?? Bizarre or what. The fridge rattled and buzzed so we had to unplug it (which was nigh on impossible!)

Third, no restaurant, no food whatsoever! For £100 a night, I'd at least expect breakfast!! Even if it was just a continental jobbie.

Fourth - ZERO soundproofing!! Thankfully the people in the adjoining rooms didn't keep us up all night, but had they been 'busy' during the night, we would have heard every sigh.

We will definitely not be staying here again. Give me a Premier Inn at £85 a night incl breakfast any day!! Don't really know why we didn't, I think it was because this one was closer to our son's house.... wattta mistaka to maka!!

In it's defence, the rooms were clean and tidy, the shower was lovely, the bed was very firm, which was fine for me but not my wife. and it's close to the City, in a quiet area. Shame about the rest.


My son got fined £100 for waiting outside the hotel in the car park for ten minutes while I signed in!!

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was obviously newly refurbuished, and it felt like we were the first people to stay in that room! Such a great price, considering you are only a stop or two on the bus from the centre, and at such a great price! The fascilities were also good if you were staying a few nights (kettle, fridge, sink, etc). Not sure why people are expecting a 5 star restraunt attached for such a bargain, but I've definalety spent the night at worse places! (Plus free parking is a great bonus in this local, and right next to some lovely gardens and church).

New Face!

The rooms here have all been refurbished to a high standard and top marks for cleanliness.  Great value and in a wonderful location right next to the Plantation Gardens, 10 minutes walk to the central area and free parking. Rooms have a kitchenette with fridge and microwave and smart TVs. It is quiet and the staff extremely helpful. Special thanks to Joe who could not do enough to make my stay comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Outstanding customer service, brilliant location

Its more of a college residency...young lady who works there is very pleasant but there it stops.

Data protection is non existant for starters and the so called manager (who has never worked in a hotel before) is a complete joke but thats ok..its not a hotel. Its clean enough for short term stay...dont even think about long term...as for the price..they are in la la land...microwave and sink for you if you prefer to cook as there is no food supplied or available...and they are still buying things like cups for the place...yes you heard correct..buying cups !!..Only the young lady can be trusted at the place..not one of the others...this place allows drug users and dealers to stay so beware if you get stopped by the POLICE after staying there..you may find you dont have an alibi if your clothes or vehicles are searched...Im not making this up...if you want clarification for this you can email me on sportexchange@btinternet.com

This is not an hotel..

I booked a room for 1 night as it is near the hospital where I had an appointment the following day. My room was ground floor with a wide bay window with a pleasant outlook. My room and ensuite were 100% clean and fresh,  with tea and coffee making provision plus a microwave for use. The ensuite had a large shower sink with mirror and a modern toilet suit. The whole suit was spotless.  There is a wall mounted television  opposite the double bed. 2 tub chairs in the bay window area extremely comfortable for watching TV or reading. I cannot believe some of the negative comments some even look and sound false. The photograph at the top of this page is NOT The Earlham Hotel  although it is in the vicinity
