My stay at this hostel was excellent. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and Paul, in particular, was great to chat with. The location is ideal, right in the town center and within walking distance of all the main attractions in Nottingham. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Wonderful Experience

receptionist Daniel(male) was horrible.He almost denied me entry as I did not have a passport.I showed him my work ID with photo for which refused.I had stayed here twice before and the stay was good and the staff(females )were very polite.However guy was arrogant and discriminative. He said he wont bothe if i don't rebook the hotel in future.I came to rest after ork and this guy pissed me off and could not sleep well due to this horrific experience from the receptionist.I was very upset because of this guy. When I told him that i stayed there before twice for which he started blaming his colleagues and said they did not do their job properly.This guy needs serious professional ethics training to behave well with customers . He was indifferent in his poor attitude and said he wont bother if I rebook or not!

The stay in this hotel was brilliant, very tidy rooms and bathrooms,  friendly staff and easy to find.
Perfect location right in the middle of the town center,  within walking distance to any attraction in Nottingham. 
Would use again and definitely recommend 👌

Pleasant stay

Great value find, will return! Clean, colourful comfortable room. Friendly and helpful welcome. Nice kitchen and shared lounge area. Felt very safe as older, solo traveler- great location just off Market Square. Plus half the price of other rooms at the big chain hotels in Nottingham.

A gem- central location, budget find.

This place was amazing! I stayed in a private room but I think it would be just as amazing as a hostel dorm vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a communal kitchen and a laundry service. The location is perfect! Walking distance to everything you might want to do or see. Plenty of food shops around as well. The room i stayed in (pea pod) was right the right size and had everything you needed. The bathroom was clean and functional same with the bed. They have actual keys which is always exciting and makes me feel like i am going home instead of to a sterile hotel. 

The only downside is that the internet net was a little hit and miss around busy periods but this is to be expected and was easy fixed by turning it on and off. 

I can’t recommend this place enough!!!!

Best place to stay in Nottingham

This hostel was a last minute choice, as most of the hotels for pride weekend were sold out.
However I’m glad I made a booking, as I really enjoyed my stay here..

The reception team are very professional and friendly and explained everything about staying here, I was in the Hammock room, on the 1st floor,  no hammock, but an extremely comfortable bed - a private shower and w/c room - 2 chairs and a small table with stool. Also provided is a TV with all the usual Freeview channels…
Downstairs there is a kitchen area, and a fridge where you can store food, and a very comfy room with a large selection of book, where you can chill. 
No breakfast is provided, but there are many eateries in the area… There is a lovely vegan restaurant in the courtyard of the hostel. 

As this is a hostel there are different rooms available with bunk beds and shared shower/toilet facilities..

All in all this is a great place to stay and so central for everywhere in town…I was very impressed…

Weekend in Nottingham

This is the third time I had stayed at Igloo (last year in March two seperate occasions while I was travelling the uk and passed through Nottingham) and it was such a nice stay. The beds are super comfy. Each bed had a light and a plug by it so you didn’t have to fight for a place to charge your devices. The kitchen is very well set up with plenty of cutlery and bits to use while cooking. It’s a small kitchen but being a smaller hostel it works well. Plus the free tea and coffee was great! 

It’s such a good location too right in the heart of town. Plenty of shops for food nearby if you wanted to buy a meal out or something to cook in the hostel. It’s really quite quiet at night. You hear a bit of noise but that’s like anywhere. From the room I was in later on (camp) I heard no real noise as the window overlooked the from door. Each person could use a locker if needed as there were some in the room. 

All the staff were really lovely and even helped carry everyone luggage up the stairs while explaining where the toilets were and other bits of info needed. 

All in all this hostel I definitely recommend it’s quite cozy. A bit homely because it is that bit smaller.  Located in a great part of town with minimal noise at night (might be a different story if there’s live music nearby I remember last year I was in a sleep box and I could hear live music till about 11 I think it was but it wasn’t that bad honestly and it was a weekend night that night. I think hearing the music and noise depends on where your room is in the hostel and which way your window faces. But again. It’s not that bad and dies down early enough) but definitely check this one out when in Nottingham because it’s quite lovely!

Great value and great location

Fabulous location in the centre of Nottingham. Me and my 12 year old son really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everything you need is on the doorstep. Mcdonalds was hardly about a few yards walk away when my son was feeling hungry. He loves Starbucks and that again was yards away. 

Definitely be staying here again. Staff were friendly and helpful. No problems whatsoever.  10/10.

Great location, lush nights sleep

I booked on booking.com, (whilst in Nottingham) money taken out before I received an email stating I had to have photo ID I possessed none as don't drive and my passport was back in my home town.  I tried to explain this when told on arrival "you can't stay with no photo ID"
I found the lack a f compassion that I would now have to sleep on the streets of Nottingham terrible as they wouldn't refund me my money to stay elsewhere and the receptionist seem to take great delight in refusing me a room...the manager was awful too.
I showed them my bank details where money had been taken out, cards, and a staff ID badge, but they would not budge in letting me stay the night!!
No doubt they will come up with their explanation but it does not excuse the lack of care and compassion shown to me by the receptionist and the manager!!!
