We stayed here to attend a party at Goosedale Hall and so we were just looking for a cheap deal close to that location.
The layout is unusual, you go through a reception area into an outdoor courtyard which has the room doors coming off it. Our room was on the ground floor so as people were walking through the courtyard they were walking past the window of your room. Net curtains are at the windows but it is a little odd for a hotel.
The pub next door is really busy and popular with locals.  The food is fine and the portions are large. We had Sunday lunch which was really good.

Typical Premier Inn

Bed very comfortable, efficient and friendly at check in. Having to go outside and up steps to room less than ideal,b gave it the feel of an old Butlins. Reasonable  value for money, onsite pub was welcoming.

Friendly ,helpful staff. Would stay here again.

Good points - friendly staff. Lots of free parking. Big twin rooms. Pub food next door is varied and fairly good quality. Cheap. 

Negative points- desperately needs an update both inside and outside. Beds well used and lumpy. Small bath and not very good shower. Small tv. Poor selection of tea and coffee. 

We have been twice and will probably try somewhere else next time.

Needs updating

Even though its by a busy road, you couldn't hear a thing, staff friendly, rooms lovely  and clean. Had such a good night's sleep.
They provide extra pillows which is good, didn't want to get out of bed in the morning as I was so comfortable 

Lovely stay

I stayed in the Hucknall Premier Inn with my elderly mother and found the quality of the hotel to be good - the room clean and warm, the bed comfortable and the staff very friendly, kind and helpful.
The breakfast however,(at the Bowman Pub) was pretty dire. Cleanliness was an issue, the food was very basic,(not good value),and the service poor and unfriendly. Other guests were grumbling!! This lowered my overall rating which otherwise would have been good.
I will happily book at the Inn again ...... but will go out for breakfast.

Two night stay

Asked nationality at check in - strange, does this matter?
Disturbed nights sleep from drunks, kids outside till late and people shouting and swearing out side of our room.
Not a family friendly stay!

Good value for money room clean and tidy overall fantastic stay breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice  Check in was very easy and in our room in no time receptionist called a cab for our night out which was very good as we had no cab numbers 

Weekend Away

Stopped here on way from Devon to Leeds. I stay in a lot of Premier Inns and this one was disappointing. Rooms are around a courtyard, so like a motel, over 2 floors. The sound proofing is non existent. The noise from the room above late at night and early morning was terrible. Then there was the loud incessant snoring which I think was from next door. I could even hear their phone vibrating! Don't come here if you want a good night's sleep. Decor is tired. They didn't have some items for breakfast that were on the menu and cutlery was dirty. Waited a while to be served and it was not that busy! 

Poor by Premier Inn standards

We stayed three nights while visiting friends/family in Nottingham and it was pleasant enough but we're pretty easy going. In desperate need of a face lift as the rooms are all outside in a two tier arrangement with access off an outside courtyard. Room was small and not up to the PI standard although the bed was comfortable as usual which was great.  

Breakfast was served in an a adjoining pub and again was not up to the usual PI standard. On our last day found all the breakfast items cleared away even though we were there bang on 9:00; the lady on duty though did try very hard to redeem the situation,  even though we couldn't have a cooked breakfast.

Staff were lovely all of them and great to have free car parking.

Low cost option so don't expect anything else.

The room was a bit small for the price, but the bed was big and comfortable. The walls were really thin: one day I had trouble sleeping because there were children screaming and playing until late, the next day I could very clearly hear someone snoring in a nearby room. The toilet tank was making noise constantly. The towel bar was broken and fell under the weight of the towels. I would've expected some sort of investment in renewing the rooms for such an expensive room.
