Picked the Adelphi Villa as it was a last minute booking on Easter Holidays  and required 3 rooms,  on arrival was met with George,  a friendly knowledgeable man, he gave us full directions on where everything in town was, all within walking distance, he then showed us to our rooms, i must say i was more than pleasantly surprised, the   rooms were spacious,  very clean and comfortable, the beds were so comfortable, fridges in the rooms was something we were not expecting but were useful to keep our drinks/snacks in over the 4 days,  as this was a room only basis we ate out each day but the Tea basket was full to the brim each day. We met Margaret Mary, the other owner, she was so friendly and chatty, you can tell both George and Margaret take pride in their home, this is what it felt like, home from home, without the cleaning. We visit Oban  a couple of times a year and usually book one of the big hotels, but we have already booked with George and Margaret for July, and looking forward to it.

A Little hidden Gem with George and Margaret Mary

What a lovely place to stay! I had the best sleep of my trip here in those GLORIOUS bed linens (that bed is amazingly comfortable). The owner is a delight, and it's a very quick walk to town, just down the street. Enthusiastically recommended!      

Perfect place in Oban!

A wonderful experience!  George met us at the door and escorted us to our room ( #3) he gave us a map of Oban and pointed out local attractions, restaurants the distillery etc.  the room was lovely, very comfortable bed, we slept very well.  Huge shower with necessities provided.  Tea: coffee making facilities and muffins, biscuits and fruit for breakfast along with a mini fridge.  He key is stay parked out front so we could go on the distillery tour the next morning.  Thoroughly nice man. Would highly recommend!

Gem of a find!

My partner and I had a lovely overnight stay here at the Adelphi Villa, Oban. We were greeted with a friendly welcoming by the host who orientated us and outlined all that the township offered. We were impressed with the presentation of the room, both the bedroom and spacious bathroom, both of which were comfortable. We had a lovely convenient walk into town from the villa to try the recommended seafood at the local green shed seafood shop. Wow, these oysters were the best we have tasted in all our years of eating oysters. Generous in size and full of flavour. The tower also recommended by the host, gave us a wonderful vantage point of this beautiful port township, highlighted by the sunny weather we experienced. We completed our stay with fish a chips, a must in this very hospitable Scottish seaside township. The Adelphi Villa is a must stay. It is pitched at the correct price, well located and presented and hosted by friendly and informative hosts. Enjoy Oban and stay here. The inclusion of fruit along with snacks that equate to a healthy breakfast was also appreciated.

Oban overnight stay.

We arrived at 11:30 and were hoping to park at the accommodation and check in later but George let us check in there and then, a lovely surprise. He was so helpful, giving us lots of brilliant recommendations. The room was furnished and decorated to a very high standard and was absolutely beautiful. Location was excellent too, very close to the town centre. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I come to Oban

The perfect place to stay in Oban

We needed to stay in Oban for the night as we had a late afternoon ferry back from Mull and wanted to be rested for our journey home.
We spent quite a lot of time looking at the available accommodation and eventually decided on the Adelphi Villa as we wanted an ensuite bathroom and a location close to the town centre.
We were greeted by the very friendly host, George, who gave us lots of information on local pubs and restaurants. We were in room 3 at the front of the house. It was a lovely spacious room with a gorgeous bathroom which had a great walk in shower. Everything was super clean and we felt very covid safe. There was a small fridge in the room and a well stocked hospitality tray.  Breakfast wasn't available,  but some snacks including a banana, yoghurt, muffin and biscuits were provided. There was also fresh milk in the fridge.
There is also on site parking available which you need to reserve when booking.
We had a very comfortable and good nights sleep and would definitely recommend staying here.

Very comfortable place to stay

Room was comfortable and provided everything we needed for a short stay. No breakfast included, but there are daily snacks provided in room, along with a small fridge, and tea and coffee facilities replenished daily. The bathroom was really fresh and modern, and let in a lot of light. It was very clean too. Host was very helpful on arrival and provided us with a map and key places to visit for food etc. Small seating space also in room.

Great short stay

Can't recommend this place enough! Really easy to find, parking available and a great location for exploring Oban!! Our room was a great size, really comfortable bed and fabulous bathroom! Super clean and fresh. We didn't meet Margaret but George was lovely and welcoming! 

THE place to stay in Oban! 

A really great guest house only a few minutes walk from town center. The room was immaculate, modern and so clean. Parking space provided. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Excellent

We had a fab few days stay. Room was much more spacious than I had anticipated, en-suite was stunning with lots of room!  Shower was not the most powerful but nothing that was a huge issue. Breakfast was fruit, yogurt and a muffin with your own tea/coffee which suited us perfectly. Location 2 minute walk from town centre with lots of options for food, drinks and shops. Hosts were so lovely, I'd highly recommend!
