We stayed in the 'Moor view lodge; on arrival Sera and Phil were friendly and welcoming and put us at ease with their adherence to covid precautions.  We cooked our meals each evening and found the lodge was very well equipped and comfortable even though the cushions had to be removed for covid hygiene.  For a lodge we were very impressed by the warm powerful bathroom shower, the only negative was that we didn't sleep as well as we would have liked partially due to the noise of rain on the roof and partly as we were cold as we were recommended to keep the heating on a low setting overnight.

Waking up to see the sheep in the fields in the morning was a great way to start the day and had the sky been clearer at night it would have been great for stargazing.

It is nice to see that Sera and Phil are striving towards the 'Green Tourism Certification'.

The farm is in a beautiful rural location, we would be happy to return again though we would choose a warmer time of the year next time.

A nice secluded mini-break with views of Dartmoor

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon many years ago.  We returned 11 years later for a weekend stay.  This home is lovely, as is the couple who runs it.  Fantastic accommodations, great food, lovely gardens, all near Dartmoor National Park.  I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an English country escape.

Wonderful service, beautiful home

We found this B&B via booking.com booking only a few hours before our stay. Unfortunately we stayed only one night in this wonderful Victorian house. The owners David and Wendy were very kind and made us feel really at home. The location is very convenient for visiting Dartmoor park in Devon, we used it as an intermediate stop to continue to Cornwall. The furnishings of the house are wonderful, well maintained in every corner and the house is very clean (and frankly I don't really know how they do not have even a single drop of dust with those objects and soprams poured into the house!).

What a wonderful house!

Our three night stay in this beautiful family home proved to be a very memorable one. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and David and Wendy, our hosts couldn't do enough for us throughout the whole of our stay. Contrary to a recent review, we can't believe it was the same house!, we found everywhere most tastefully appointed and spotlessly clean.Our hosts had exceptionally high standards and had thought of many little extras, such as toiletries and even a hot water bottle to add to our comfort. We were thoroughly at home in our light and airy bedroom and we appreciated the tea/coffee brewing facilities.It was a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful home . We only wish the weather had allowed us to spend some time in the very attractive garden. We have no hesitation in recommending Moor View House. We only wish we could have stayed longer. To attend a family wedding at Little Bidlake Farm, Bridestowe

This B & B is run by some really friendly owners, we were going to a party locally and needed overnight accommodation as we were travelling from Gloucestershire.  Even though the owners were going out themselves, we were offered Tea and cake in the garden, very sunny day and lovely location.  Room was very comfortable, everything you needed and breakfast was with all other guest around a big dinning table which I love.  If you are expecting modern and minimalist don't come here it is a family home with a lot of "stuff" collected over the years by the owners, but it just makes it more of a lovely place to stay.  Will definitely stay again if the need ever arises.  Thank You.

Very Friendly and Comfortable

Room was huge and well appointed. En-suite less so. David is a very entertaining host and nothing was any trouble to him.  Lovely location with plenty off road parking. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful
