Had a brilliant 2 night stay. Mark and Lesley were wonderful hosts the room was very clean and spacious I slept really well never heard any outside noise. The cooked breakfast on both mornings was great, good quality ingredients very hot and tasty. The train station is about 10 mins walk away it’s on a hill so if you have issues get a taxi the guest house is really worth it. Thanks Again Steve

Perfect Two Night Stay Highly Recommend

Was looking for a room to crash in Okehampton for 1 night and I am very glad I stumbled across Meadowlea. A very well kept, friendly and welcoming B&B. 
The room had everything I could need, was clean and spacious.  Breakfast blew me away, very filling and lots of choice. 
Would stay again! (Will stay again!)

A very nice stay

Stayed at Meadowlea guesthouse with a friend for one night. Easy parking outside. Rooms clean and spacious with tea and coffee making kit and hairdryer. Bathroom also well-equipped with a nice big shower.  Breakfast was fab - freshly cooked and a good choice. Only downside was some traffic noise through our bedroom window from the street outside, although that did quieten down overnight.   Pack earplugs! 

We were very happy with our stay.

Lovely guesthouse

I stayed for one night on the 10th of September after my organised walk was cancelled and feeling a little lost. Warm and comfy stay in the top of the house, got some good advice the next day about where to walk. Nice stay will stay again one day hopefully on a cycle tour which is what it seems most popular for!

Solo Stay

The most comfiest stay ever! The owners are very polite and friendly and professional they make you feel at home away from home. The room was very good price for what you got, beds were very comfortable provided a glass bottle of water, mugs, glasses, biscuits and much more in the room. Would definitely recommend it’s a good walk to the town centre too! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely place!

We stayed here for one night as part of a cycle ride Ilfracombe to Plymouth. We were met by (sorry forgot name) who was wearing a face mask. We were asked to sanitise before we entered the building. Felt really safe throughout stay. The room was of a good size with everything we needed, Very comfy bed too. Breakfast was excellent. Thank you. 
There was a secure shed for bikes too but I would still bring a lock.

If in Oakhampton stay here

We stayed at this gem of a Guest house on the 28th August for one night, we booked 2 rooms. It is a very safe environment to be as all procedures are maintained throughout due to Covid-19. The rooms are absolutely spotless and well maintained. The breakfast was one of the best we have had for a very long time, which we should know as we are frequent travellers and enjoyed the quality of the ingredients. The free wifi is great and there is ample free parking. The owners were very welcoming, what more could you ask for a trip away. It will definitely be our go to place to stay next time we are in the area.

Fantastic stay

Just stayed the one night but will hopefully stay again. Lesley and Mark made us welcome and were very helpful when we ordered a take-away and let us use the dining room.
It was freezing cold outside but nice and warm inside. Clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds and a handsome breakfast in the morning that sets you up for a day on Dartmoor.
I would definitely recommend.

Perfect B&B

Arrived Friday evening as soon as arrived made very welcome.  Room's had everything we needed beds very comfortable. Breakfast was great and lots of choices. Would book and go here again full recommend

Very friendly

Not much budget choice for B&Bs in Okehampton but this did the job. Comfy but small room and a nice breakfast. Handy parking and close to town (5minute walk). Friendly host and popular with home and overseas tourists.
