Visited for a carvery and I must say the  food is always very nice and is always being topped up as soon as it falls low, staff are very friendly from management, carvery deck, chefs and waiters I am yet to meet with a rude member of their staff. 
Highly recommend here to eat you won't be disappointed

Excellent place to stay. Clean, tidy and nicely furnished rooms. Dinner and breakfast excellent. Friendly staff. Beats any other budget hotel chain. Secure accommodation with plenty of space in room. Room had a desk to work at. Was on busy road but room was at rear of property so not a major problem.

Comfy night in a quiet room away from road and very comfortable bed. Had a great night's sleep. Good size room and huge bed. 
Able to get a roast dinner and had a lovely breakfast in morning. Very convenient for M5. Great. 

Convenient and comfortable 

I think this hotel is great for it's rating in Birmingham.  I have been coming here for over 3 years and always feel relieved when a room is available.  Their family sized rooms are a generous size and comfortably caters for my husband and I and 2 children.  Its location is fabulous, as it's only a 10 minutes drive to my father's, when I come to see him in Edgbaston.  I did recommend this hotel to a neighbour who was looking for advice on where their relatives could stay.  Staff are personable and polite!

Fantastic experience for 3-star rating

Stayed for 2 nights. Comfy bed excellent value breakfast buffet. Simple service. Couldn’t fault it. A great start to my day and a carvery after work. Friendly staff and chefs, always happy to help. A very busy place though. Booking would be advisable

A great overnighter couldn’t fault it

This hotel has great transport links and a good sized car park meaning it is excellent for visiting the city.
The room was clean and well equipped although the shower sealant was discoloured. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. 

Great value for money during the Commonwealth Games

I stayed here during the Commonwealth Games.  The price was competitive for Birmingham and was only a 20-minute bus ride out of the city centre.  
Check in was ok - could have been better, but there were quite a few checking-in at the same time.
The room was large, with a massive bed ... so comfortable.  Had breakfast a few days - good value although would have preferred some porridge some mornings.  Joan, the breakfast host, however, was a delight.  She was chirpy and kind which really got the day off to a good start.
If I was staying in Birmingham again - I would stay here.

A gem - wonderful place to stay

Stayed here whilst visiting family in the area with my elderly parents. The hotel is well situated close to Halesowen and Birmingham centre and is on the bus route if needed.
The old pub building was very warm and inviting and all the staff couldn’t do enough for you. I would particularly like to mention Joan who worked in the mornings at reception/ behind the bar, and the lady who worked in the afternoons also although I didn’t get her name, they were both friendly and helpful, as were all the staff.
The bedrooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only down side was the lumpy pillows but they didn’t affect my sleep.
Overall, comfortable and good value for money

Friendly inviting hotel

This is just the most amazing place to stay. The accommodation is excellent priced reasonably and the Staff cannot do enough for the clients All housekeeping, General Manager, Bar and Carvery staff /Reception - just everything. They are so helpful and professional and put themselves out to ensure you have a comfortable stay. We have been visiting there for over 20 years. Thank you Toby

We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a darts competition nearby. The innkeeper's has been refurbished since I last stayed and is beautiful. Room was immaculate and lovely and warm on this cold weekend. Had the carvery the first night, top notch lovely selection. Breakfast bargain at £4.99.

But most impressive was one staff member, Stevie, this young lady helped reunite me with my mobile I'd dropped in the taxi last night, gave me a number to call Uber and I got it back!! Above and beyond helpful, a credit to her management and I hope they look after her well!!

Highly recommend this place to stay, ample parking, opposite are a variety of shops, chemist, takeaways, convenience stores etc

My only complaint was that I had to check out today!! Well done
