The room itself was well furnished. The issues we had were no cold water (only hot), very loud road noise as there was no fan, so had to have the windows open and we had problems with breakfast. The breakfast was served 8.30am-9.30am but at their Twin Guesthouse (White House View) 12mins walk away.  Due to the inconvenience we did not go to breakfast. 

Our main issues were with the admin/hospitality. On the day of our booking we had a phone call from the owner asking us to go to their twin guesthouse instead of the one we booked (unsure why). The details took a while to come over so I had to email to get these. The other guesthouse was closer to the centre, but after emailing we found there was no parking so was not as convenient. We also booked the Ridings due to liking the look of it, whereas the other was less appealing visually. We ended up keeping to our original booking after emailing forwards and backwards during the working day, hours before our arrival. We were told to call them upon arrival, of which we did and we're told staff had reserved a space so to ask them to move their car upon arrival. When we arrived there was no staff onsite and no spaces to park. Luckily a guest left so we could park in the end. We then knocked and called the doorbell but no staff were around to let us in. We then had to call them again to be directed to a keysafe which let us in and they directed us to our room (8) via the phone. We did not see or meet any staff members during our stay. 

Overall, the room was ok but I would not recommend booking here due to the poor admin aspect and lack of hospitality. 

Terrible hospitality, well furnished room, would not recommend booking

I had a very clean, calm, tastefully decorated ensuite room for a very reasonable price. Pretty convenient for central Oxford (about 25 min walk) and though the on-site parking was full there was plenty of free on-street parking just around the corner. Bathroom very pleasant with a good hot shower. Two minor quibbles: no tea-bags, and the TV remote didn't seem to work. Otherwise a great stay.

Very good value for money

Found the shower room a bit small for a large man, but the overall experience was very good, ease of access from the A34, good parking onsite , Tesco extra 300 m away fish shop a few doors down,Local Inn come foody place  with all sports channels great location, will stay again soon.

A Good Stay,ease of access

This is a satellite guest house with awkward management who are based at another house nearby.  You have to text them to come over and open up.  Very comfortable bed, superb bathroom, quiet room. No hair dryer renovations needed for the bedroom which is small.  It's half way between the Park & Ride and central Oxford.  Good local services and restaurants.

Nice but awkward

This place is great for a quick night if you don't mind mold in the shower. Although our room was in the front, next to a busy road, there wasn't much street noise at night. The host was pleasant upon our arrival, as was the owner whom we passed as we left the next morning. I don't mind a small room or less-than-stellar bed when I am paying the lowest price for the neighborhood, but I really don't think anyone should have to live with mold. Also, the sign outside says B&B but there is no breakfast.

Cheaper than most, but still not worth it

Stayed here for four nights. Nice,clean and comfortable guesthouse with a friendly manager.  I stayed in a small single room which served it's purpose nicely. It was quite small and situated towards the front of the guest house but had its own TV a wardrobe a sink and mirror and a nice soft mattress single bed. I walked around Oxford and slept very well at night. The shared shower and toilet was very clean and nearly always readily available as it is a small guest house. It is located a mile or so south of the city centre . The only small criticisms I would have would be that the breakfast is non inclusive of the overall price and that the traffic can be noisy earlyish. However,I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again if I was passing through Oxford.I will give it full stars,as comfort and cleanliness are key in my opinion.

Comfortable and clean!

We stayed in this Guest House for a night during our trip. Initially we had a room in Abingdon Road but we stayed in a building nearer the city centre. The owner was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience giving also a solution for parking our car during the next day. The breakfast was nice enough, we had full english breakfast and was nice cooked. The best was the room, it was wide and very well decorated. The bed was big enough and we spent a very nice, calmed night. We will repeat!

Very nice room - thoughtful service

I wasn't sure what to expect having read previous reviews however I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are friendly and the location is about a 25-30 minute walk from the train station and city centre. 

The rooms are small but nicely decorated, well equipped and clean. The hair dryer and tea/coffee etc... was a nice touch. The rooms do get super hot though and the radiator was on all night which was perhaps a bit excessive for the spring time but really wasn't a big deal as the windows could be opened. The guest house is on a main road so if you're in one of the front facing rooms then it can get a bit noisy if you aren't used to living on a road. The bathroom was okay, not spotless but there's only so much you can do with a shared bathroom. Price wise it isn't the cheapest but by Oxford standards its worth the money, id definitely stay again. The only slightly minor issue I had was I wasn't sure what to do on check out, I left about 8am and staff don't stay on site so in the end I just had to leave the keys in the room.
