Very clean & tidy, friendly owners nothing was too much trouble. Good location to shops and beach, recommend this hotel for your get away. Lots for you to do around and about, would recommend the steam train and sea cruise in Dartmoor and finish your day with a Cornish pasty

Break away

My stay at the Berry exceeded my expectations; being a wonderful place to stay overnight for me.

The welcome was warm and friendly.

Room 15 was on the top floor and was well-appointed with all you would require for a night away from home.

This single room benefited from a queen-sized bed which was so comfortable and topped with a superb fluffy duvet and fabulous pillows all aiding a great night's sleep.

The television and Wi-Fi were more than adequate.

The part en suite shower room (the basin was in the main room) was newly refurbished and had a marvellous powerful shower yet one of the only disappointments was the terrible sandpaper-like old towels.

Breakfast was nice, cooked marvellously and just enough to set you up for the day ahead.

All in all, it is a brilliant place to stay close to the beach, the town centre and the public transport hub.

Exceeded my expectations

Quiet room with comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Very nice breakfast just what we wanted, well cooked and lovely staff who worked really well even though short staffed!!!Will definitely stay again when in Paignton again. Very nice.

Good!

Nice big single room with a big comfy bed. Lovely clean white bedding and good tea and coffee in room. 
Nice side sea view and a great breakfast. 
Nice pleasant staff. Check in was good. 
Only downside was car park luckily I could get around on public transport which is good and cheap, as the amount of cars on the car park meant getting off was an issue. 
Would definitely stay again. 

Long weekend break

Lovely friendly clean Hotel. Close to sea front and 5 minute walk into town. Parking and breakfast included. Lovely breakfast and family run place. Sad that our little break was up today but wouldn"t hesitate to re book here. Thank you so much xx

Great Hotel and value for money

My daughter and I booked a twin room at the Berry Hotel and cannot recommend enough. Parking and breakfast were included in the price, our room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, the location is great and the staff were friendly and helpful. What more can you ask!!

Best hotel

There is some renovation work going on in the hotel but not disrupting our stay.once the refurbishment are complete it  will be a nice hotel.our stay was comfortable and the room clean.couldnt see the WiFi password.but not really needed.the hotel information would be better in a book rather on the back of the door where some print had faded in the sun.you could ask for more towels but should be enough in the room without having to ask.the tea tray was pretty much standard. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep.breakfast although basic full English was large and tasty but I think a bit more practice with the fried eggs wouldn't go amiss as all  eggs were slightly over.i would stay here again and look forward to the improvements

A nice hotel

Booked two days for air show could not get to hotel without pass had to park car and walk to hotel to get pass not told in advance when booked

When finally got there with car only had dealings with a 15 to 16 year son if that but was pleasant 

We paid got the room key which was cleanish but very dated

At breakfast was given no menu or expanded how it worked was eventually asked what we wanted both had breakfast which came warm and wasn't the best food so decided to call it day and go home early costing us £144  we wasn't happy with stay but other people seemed OK with service me personally would not stay there again as was not very professional and left for a young kid to run

Left after one day

Have stayed here on many occasions but this is the first time since it has been in new ownership. The hotel was starting to look a little tired but the new owner has already started to freshen things up with new paint both on the inside and the outside. New beds are going into all rooms at the moment and as luck would have it this started during out stay. Our first night was spent in a double bed but when we got back to our room on the second day we were greeted by a brand new king size bed......and very comfortable it was too. Breakfast was fantastic on all days.....but be warned.......you probably won't need to eat again until the evening....there is plenty of it. Looking forward to seeing  the hotel when the new owner has finished his updates. We'll be back again in August.
