I was only here for a couple of nights on a flying visit but had a warm welcome from Steve on my arrival and the room was spot on for my needs. I did not need breakfast so can't coment on that but the lcoation of the B&B is perfect in Paignton with the seafront a few yards one way and the shops a few yards the other way. Clean , neat and tidy. Cheers.

Just what i needed for a restful visit.

An amazing bed and breakfast, probably the nicest couple we have had the pleasure to meet. Steve and Claire are so caring, helpful, very approachable and have an great knowledge of the area, if you are looking for a nice restaurant or something to do, they will know. The hotel is spotless and breakfasts are the best we have had, it is the only hotel that can produce a fried egg the is as near perfect as you could have. Good luck and keep the great atmosphere going.

Amazing Hotel

The rooms were good, we had 1 double room, also a family room which was a double & twin with divider door. It was very clean. The hosts were great, even parked my car as I couldn’t do it! En suites were good and had everything we needed. 
We didn’t have breakfast as the kitchen was being refurbished while we were there, but there were plenty of places to get food within a short distance.
Ideal location for shops/beach/attractions. 
There were a lot of stairs and I’m unsure whether there were rooms downstairs, if not then not good for people with mobility issues, but phone them as they may cater for this. They were very friendly, helpful and approachable.

Perfect sea side stay

This was an excellent find. 

The location of the hotel was very central to all amenities that Paignton has to offer.  There is a car park outside the hotel and the seafront was a 3 minute walk away.  The shops and railway station are two minutes away. 

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the hosts, Andy and Claire were excellent, they couldn't do enough for you.

A Great Find.

.Claire and Steve were welcoming and friendly without being intrusive which made them the perfect hosts. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. My room was comfortable and sparklingly clean, as was the rest of the property. For me,It is often the little things that mean a lot, like the fact that having learnt that ginger biscuits were my favourite of the selection they offered, they made sure they were provided in my room each day!
The Clifton is in a great location, being minutes from the beach, the town, train station and bus station.
I have already booked to stay again in April which says it all!!

I felt very welcome on arrival Steve and Claire went above and beyond nothing was too much trouble. My room was bright and airy and very clean with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The breakfast looked good tasted good with plenty of choice. A fantastic location just a couple of minutes walk from the seafront, shops, restaurants and bars. Thanks again Steve and Claire. A great location very welcoming owners

Steve and Claire who recently took over this B&B really made a huge effort to make my stay great.  Nothing was too much trouble and responses to anything I needed was fast and efficient.  My room and en suite was very clean; and the bed was very comfy.  Location is also perfect with it being very close to the seafront as well as the main

Lovely, welcoming and hospitable B&B

We have had a very enjoyable holiday staying at The Clifton. Upon arrival we were  surprised to see that the new owners were Steve and Claire, previously from the Bella Vista. The rooms are of a very good size and very clean. The cooked breakfast was excellent, as always. The accommodation is very close to the town and also the sea front where you can find plenty of bars and restaurants.  We would highly recommend The Clifton and will definitely  be returning.

Stayed at the Clifton in Paignton Devon , New owners Claire &steve were ideal hosts , Nothing was too much trouble , Rooms were fresh and clean , And bed was so comfortable , ideal position 1 minute from the front , Ideal for my early morning walk along the front ,  Driving all the way from Northampton and having parking right outside was perfect , 

I have always loved Devon , And finding this lovely B&B made our weekend perfect ,  we will definitely be regulars for Claire and Steve at the Clifton , Counting the days to go back

Perfect weekend perfect hosts

I recently travelled to Paignton with my partner, and I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Clifton. 

The hosts (Claire and Steve) were very friendly and helpful. It is in an ideal location with the sea being a two minute walk in one direction and shops and the train station five minutes in the other. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of my room, which had amenities available and was incredibly clean.

Definitely will be coming back to stay here again. Though next time I might try warmer weather to take advantage of the sea.
