Location was perfectly located to beach and activities.  Easy check in.  Appreciated the info in the room booklet.  Nowhere else have we felt secure in terms of safety and fire procedures.  It was a reminder to go over fire drills.   Breakfast was made to order.  Lots of fresh fruit and chef made bacon, poached egg, fresh cut tomato and toast to fuel up the day.  Highly recommend!

Great location for walking main street! Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed here last weekend. We had 2 rooms, both of which were very clean and well equipped. The property is about 100 yards from the beach, and all the entertainment you would expect from a seaside resort. 

The owners are very friendly, as you would hope(!) and nothing was too much of a problem. Breakfast, as so many other reviewers have said, was excellent. If we go to Paignton again, we will be calling John and Jayne to book. Thank you.

For a single person the room was a good size bed very comfortable big .t.v washbasin in room private bathroom just a few steps away.at front of house no issues with road noise good view of steam railway. Breakfast very good. if I was a four in a bed contestant I would have over paid by a tenner great value for money

Great value b&b

Warmly greeted and well looked after throughout our stay. John & Jayne are great hosts and always willing to offer help and advice. Excellent location, just a short walk from the beach and the train station (the Steam Train trip is highly recommended). I was able to park and leave my car unused for most of our stay. We walked wherever possible or grabbed a taxi. Superb breakfast, the Full English really hit the spot. Our room and the breakfast room were spotlessly clean. Our shower wasnt the best, but on the top floor of a three-storey terraced house, the water pressure is never going to be good. Would certainly stay again.

3 Night Stay

We stayed here for 1 week from 10-17th July, we booked 2 double rooms but on arrival we were offered the family room which was perfect for my sister and sister-in-law to share. Location of hotel was perfect for town beach and railway station. Breakfast was included in room price and superb and could be tweaked to choice each day. The owners were very hospitable. We’re very helpful with ideas and advice for traveling and sightseeing locally. Would definitely stay again if we visit this area again

Hidden little Gem

When we arrived we we're kindly greated and offered a cold drink which was appreciated given the temperature outside 😊, the room was very clean and tidy and well fitted ( fan/kettle/coffee/biscuits etc) plenty of clothing hangers which put a smile on my wife's face given the amount of clothes she brought with her 😉..
Breakfast was superb with an excellent selection, I recommend the full English..
Location was just right for us too, no busy roads and only 200 yds from the beach...
All in all we would definitely recommend this accommodation, freindly hosts that accommodate every need, definitely a thumbs up from us 👍👍👍

Family holiday

I very rarely stay in the same place more than once, there is much choice. But we have been going here annually for 5 years now and it’s becoming a habit that we look forward too every time.  Even the 15 year old loves it, notoriously difficult to please this one!

The rooms are the perfect size, spotlessly clean and the facilities are everything you need! The fridge in the landing with bottled water is appreciated especially with our crazy summer.  The location is absolutely ideal and parking was no problem, there are 2 spaces, but when a space came up opposite on the road, we moved as we hardly used the car. 

The owners are absolutely lovely, they can’t do enough for you and work so hard! The breakfast is undoubtedly the best you will ever get in a B and B, right up there with hotel standards and cooked fresh every morning.

There is so much to do within easy reach of Paignton, we were lucky with the weather so had a week filled up with stuff! I need a holiday now to recover! 

Thank you for our lovely stay, we can’t wait to come again! 

Annual visit 

Third time we have been here as a family and can’t praise the Adelphi enough for their hospitality, comfortable rooms and tasty English breakfast.
John and Jayne made us feel at home without intrusion but we’re there for all we needed. Even though parking in the area is restricted John went out of his way to find us a space and we were never further than 100 yds away from the door.
As for location, a 2 minuets walk to the beach, shops and park, perfectly located for everything we needed but also very quiet at night.
Love this B & B, will keep coming back.

Perfect Yet Again

Just spent a nice relaxed week at this lovely little b&b. Ideally located in the centre of Paignton within easy walking distance of the beach and shops. The bus and train station are very close by, making visits to Torquay and Brixham easy, and then there’s the wonderful steam train to Dartmouth.                                       My room was nice and clean with my own private bathroom, the bed was comfortable and there’s a fridge located on the landing wth bottles of water and milk. An ironing board, iron and hairdryers are also provided if needed. 
Breakfasts are relaxed and there’s a good selection of cereals and beverages as well as the lovely full English breakfast. 
Will definitely be returning.

My wife and l enjoyed our stay at the Adelphi. John and Jayne made us feel very welcome and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was of a very high standard and we look forward to staying there again. It is located just off the seafront and is close to shops and eateries.
