We stayed for five nights as a family group of 15 to celebrate an 80th birthday and hired out the whole house.
The house far exceeded our expectations. So beautifully renovated, furnished and decorated. Every room is pure luxury and indulgence. 
Such a stunning location with wonderful views and just a ten minute walk from the small town of Pateley Bridge. 
Lisa and Alex were fantastic hosts and on hand if needed.
We enjoyed the experience of cooking on the Aga and the children in the group had the best games of hide and seek in the many rooms!! We also added more luxury to our stay by hiring a hot tub from Bedale Bubbles.
We really hope to return as we had the BEST time. Thank you Lisa and Alex for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Fantastic venue for family celebration

Beautiful venue, amazing wedding.

We recently had our wedding at Grassfield. Every guest commented on how lovely and picturesque the venue was and also how welcoming the staff were. There’s nothing that they would not do for you but also they were not
In your face and allowed you to enjoy the day with your loved ones. Lisa, Lynne, Harvey and the rest of the team made our stay that extra bit special. Thanks and we will definitely book again in the future to celebrate anniversaries, etc. L & C xxx

Perfect venue for an intimate wedding

We have just had my daughter's wedding there. This was brought forward from next year and the owners could not do enough for us.
Brilliant service from Lisa, Lynne and all the team.
The wedding day was fantastic, they looked after everything for us, really well organised and an amazing day was had by all.
They are welcoming and do have a beautiful property that needs respecting.
They make it feel like it is your home for the days you are there.
I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

Outstanding

We visited Grassfield Hall a couple of months ago, we were looking for a house with the wow factor and that is without doubt what we got. The house is situated just on the outskirts of Pateley Bridge, just a 5 minute walk to the centre. 
On entrance to this wonderful house our expectations, which were high, were exceeded. The house is decorated in a classic tasteful style and to a very high standard. 

We stayed in the hall for 3 nights. It is well equipped, the kitchen has everything you could ever need and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. It was great to have the option of a private chef and the dining room, certainly allows for a striking room to host dinner in. 

The outside seating area was ideal for spending time in the sun. The lounge is large and provides a great place to relax, whilst the bar area was a good place to start the evening off. All bedrooms are individual and each one is beautiful, with its own style and personality. The bed in our room was very large and extremely comfy, with luxurious bedding; the view of the Dale was priceless.

I would like to thank Lisa, the host, who was fab, she was friendly and at hand if we needed anything or had any questions but wasn't intrusive. Although we were a big group, 16 in total, we had no issues with rules, noise levels etc. and although we left the hall tidy we were not expected to clean it as the previous review suggests. 

We all had an amazing time at Grassfield Hall and I hope to revisit again, if anyone is looking for a venue with class and style, in a beautiful location with a wonderful host, look no further.

Stunning, perfect, great host

Booked a weekend away to celebrate a friends hen do. The owners were fully aware of the reason for our stay, upon booking. Before arrival be prepared to block out two hours of your time to read through the house rules, basically breathing is only just permitted. 
Once you arrive at the venue, it's hard to relax as around every corner is laminated DONT's plastered  all around the house, oh and not forgetting the cameras positioned in almost every room in the house. No doubt checking you've picked up that single crisp from the kitchen floor and placed it into the right waste disposal, because if not get ready for a hefty bill. Which brings me onto the main issue with this horrendously managed venue.
As stated we booked Grassfield Hall as a HOLIDAY and to CELEBRATE. We respected the house throughout our entire stay. As 30 year old plus professional women, we maintained the cleanliness of which we found the venue when we arrived. 
On the Sunday prior to our departure we cleaned Grassfield from top to bottom. Floors mopped, all rubbish taken, balloons removed, cutlery/glassware put away, tables cleaned and polished, all beds stripped, all rooms vacuumed.
Basically we was unpaid cleaners for the venue, at one point I forgot we was actually PAYING GUESTS! 
Two days after our departure we received an extremely insulting, email from Lisa, accusing me and my friends of practically destroying the house and leaving it in an horrendous state. Of which she demanded £380 for damages! 
One of the most laughable damage cost was an extra 6 hours of cleaning and their reason for this. "Because the floor needed mopping" 
I think Lisa at Grassfield Hall needs to overhaul her cleaning regime. 
We left a small pile of confetti on the floor, naughty us!!! And that cost us an extra £40! 
Oh and let's talk about the STAGED photos taken after our departure. Me and a friend checked every single room before leaving, every room was pristine. But when Lisa entered the house, litter was scattered across the bedroom. We demanded photos and I've never seen more staged photos in my entire life, the position of face wipes on the floor was impeccable almost believable but as I checked the entirety of the rooms I knew this had been staged. 
What started as an amazing weekend turned into a very upsetting and distressing time for all our party. Of course £380 divided by 16 guests is a minimal amount. But for us it was never about the money but the principal, we was accused of "damages" made to feel like we had smashed windows and broken doors. When in reality we didn't mop the floors to shiny bright standards and polish the china.
The money has now been taken from my account and I will be taking this further. 
We went to Grassfield Hall for a holiday not be glorified maids for the weekend. DO NOT book to stay here, unless you enjoy cleaning and not relaxing then this venue is for you!

Scammers!

Just had my 50th birthday celebration here and what a treat to stay at this incredible house. We wanted to stay together in a place that felt more personal than a hotel and to get together with all my family for my special birthday weekend. It certainly didn’t disappoint every room was decorated to perfection and the attention to detail was amazing. We hired a caterer lady G for the Saturday and enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal in style. Can’t wait to revisit Grassfield Hall again soon.

An amazing 50th birthday celebration

We hired the property for a week for a family holiday and it did not disappoint.  The property is furnished and maintained to an exceptionally high standard whilst being comfortable and homely.
Lisa and Alex have thought of everything... there were 16 of us and we had more than enough crockery, cutlery and glassware for us all to sit and have our meals.
The grounds are beautiful and the children were forever looking out at or chasing the bunnies on the lawns!  We enjoyed a few games of rounders on the lawn.
The location is great for travelling to surrounding areas and the restaurants in Pateley Bridge provide good quality food, we went to Olley's Italian, the pancake house, ordered food from the Indian takeaway and the fish and chip shop... all delicious.
Lovely location and home for a gathering of friends or family and you can do as much or as little as you wish.
Thanks Lisa and Alex.. you have created an exquisite property that will create some precious memories.

Amazing house & fabulous location

We have just spent an amazing weekend at grassfield and it was amazing, the rooms are absolutely stunning the beds comfortable and the area is so peaceful it’s lovely. Large bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms, everything felt luxurious the bedding the towels even the tea coffee and flapjack! We stayed for a wedding and the location is so pretty the property and the grounds were all so picturesque with a backdrop of the hills. The breakfast was both continental and full English… delicious and service was second to none, Lisa and her team of staff made it a very special weekend and we will return!

Perfect

A beautiful house in a  beautiful location. The rooms are stunning, beautifully furnished, comfortable and with great facilties. The lounge and dining areas were great and there was a well stocked bar. 

The hosts couldn't do enough for us. We had a wonderful weekend with nothing too much trouble. An amazing experience I'd love to repeat.
