We stayed in one of the lodges for a week. They overlook a large garden that you can use. The lodges are very spacious , clean and comfortable. You have personal use of the dining room and kitchen at any time other than breakfast where you are served a truly delicious breakfast, cooked by Dave . Both him and his wife Bernie are wonderful and so welcoming and friendly, they made our stay special. We recommend anyone to stay here if you want a holiday in west Cornwall

Great place to stay

I have just returned from a 3 night stay and I wish I’d booked a longer one! I lived in Cornwall for 6 years and go back to visit friends often. This is by far the best place I have stayed, great value for money! The setting is beautiful and as soon as I arrived I received a very warm welcome. Perfect if you prefer a more personal, less commercial feel!
It’s very relaxing and in a perfect location for exploring.
The breakfast was great and the owners recommended some great places that I hadn’t even heard of before. I will definitely visit again.

Hidden gem!

Booked room for 4 adults, cramped, would be okay for family with young children. Small single beds in a separate room but no storage. Had to live out the suitcases on the floor. Main room had a wardrobe. 
No frills, basic and small. Carpet stained and beds lumpy, uncomfortable and past their best. Double bed creaked every time you moved, 3 night stay and not 1 good nights sleep between the 4 of us. Breakfast room very tired. Half used sauce bottles on the table. Cloth chairs badly stained. Did not like the shared cereals and juice in covid times. Breakfast filled you up, plenty of it, quantity over quality. 
Outside area messy, waste bin always full. 
Lots of parking and convenient location. 
Very overpriced, was not worth anything near the price we paid. 
Would of liked to have given personal feedback but not even asked if we enjoyed our stay when payment made. 
Enjoyed the local area but would seek alternative accommodation next time, would not return.

Tired and uncomfortable. Good location.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the hosts made it feel like home. Nothing was too much trouble and the full English breakfast really set us up for the day. Ideally situated within reach of all resorts. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We left here to stay in Newquay BIG MISTAKE.

Amazing place

This is the second time we have stayed at Crown Lodges last time it was a pub. Dave and Bernie who own the B&B are very friendly. There are 4 comfortable lodges in the grounds of the old pub. In the main building there is a dining area, you get your own table for the duration. There is a honesty bar/fridge for beers etc. There is a TV room. There is also a kitchen area if you want to take back a takeaway meal. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. There is a fridge and brew kit in the room and you can get fresh milk from the dining room. The breakfast that is provided is great, it kept us going all day. There is also a large garden with tables and chairs if you want to sit out. It is very quiet and peaceful.

Well, what can I say...
Probably the most hospitable place we have stayed.
Greeted upon arrival to a very spacious, well equipped lodge.
Lovely garden with seating area and bbq for guest use, large breakfast room with all kitchen amenities at our disposal. All shown to us by a very cheery Bernie, who was always happy to help. 

We went for breakfast on our first morning there and had a good pick of cereals and/or a cooked breakfast, which was so good I had one everyday, which my waistline isn't pleased with.

Once we'd had our brekkie, Dave the other owner and chef, came over and sat down with us to go over a map and give us locations worth visiting, as well as many 'hotspots' he was also willing to share some secret coves and bays which they've found over the years which aren't on any map, but are definitely some of the more beautiful places to see in Cornwall.

This was a morning ritual for us, Dave would finish his kitchen duties and then come over with his tea and plan our day based around any activities we had already booked... We honestly don't feel our stay would have been the same had we not had the knowledge of where to go and what to see, as this was our first visit.
And the 'do not follow a sat nav' rule was brilliant.. You see so much more.

If you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming, friendly, on-tap service, great food, perfectly located place to stay I would most definitely recommend this place.

We for sure will be back.. For what you get for your buck, it's a no brainer..

AMAZING!!!

Location was great - 20min drive from St Ives and Penzance, overall relatively centrally located despite being not being directly at the usual tourist spots in Cornwall. The room was clean and spacious, although due to Covid it was not refreshed between nights. The owners were absolutely lovely - they were very friendly and provided tons of useful advice about what and how to see the area like a local! Breakfast was a highlight - a very large English breakfast with your choice of eggs, alongside fruit, yoghurt, and pastries.

The only thing that I can think of that isn't a pro is that the fridge in our room didn't work, but apart from that we had a lovely stay, and are very glad we were able to get some availability here given how competitive availability in Cornwall is in the summer!

Great place to stay and use as a base to explore Cornwall

Perfect location, close to the beach, Lands End, Minack Theatre and much more, excellent food and service. I have been there with my son and we both enjoyed. I can recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Cornwall.
