The monumental price of this property was its main undoing. The rooms lacked character and warmth had awful pictures on the walls (which were for sale - it's a shame that they weren't actually nice pictures.). The continental breakfast was of the lowest quality and really showed how little the owner thinks of the guests. For the price of the rooms, it's a bit of a cheek to have such poor quality items (the jam wasn't even proper jam just that cheap nasty stuff which is full of sugar and little to no actual fruit). Thankfully the rooms were clean and quiet and the manager was friendly and helpful. It's just a shame their penny pinching left such a bitter impression.

Lovely traditional seaside B&B.  Host very welcoming, spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable, continental breakfast. 5 minute walk from seafront and 10 mins to town centre.

I had a lovely overnight stay. The room was perfect and the welcome outstanding. Excellent service. The manager was so helpful and took pride in the service he provided. I needed an early start on the day of departure and this was catered for.

A wonderful stay

Booked to stay a night and I wasn't disappointed.

Excellent service from Mike the owner with good location and found a parking space outside property, not sure what it is like during holiday season.

Promenade and sea is within walking distance, lots of places for food and drinks or you can walk into the town centre.

Definitely would stay again as I had the big room at the front.

Overnight Stay

We were delighted with  Westbourne Guest House. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and  clean.  There were a range of personal touches and Mike was the perfect host, welcoming and friendly. Excellent location, a few minutes walk from allocal facilities and the sea front. There is ample, safe, on street parking too. 

Excellent Guest House in Penzance, near town centre 

Very clean and as a retired doctor, I am fussy! Also, Mike is very friendly. 
Quiet road and plenty of space in room for all our bags. Parking on road very nearby. We will stay again, as so friendly and clean and allow one-night stays, which is very helpful for trips to Scilly Isles and/or The Minack theatre. It is also good value. My only concern was escape in a fire- but fire extinguishers are plentiful and no fire risk seen.

Westbourne Guest house is lovely. It’s beautifully located. Super clean. Mike is very friendly and made us feel very welcome and help us find our way around the area. We definitely recommend it and are sure to be back as soon as permitted. 

Mini break in Penzance | We had a lovely time in Penzance. It was our first time In Cornwall and we simply loved it.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The guest house is ideally located a couple of minutes from Penzance promenade and very close to the city centre. 
Room was very comfortable and Mike looked after us well. We would return to the guesthouse.

Lovely place

Mike is the owner and he made our stay the best experience of our whole vacation. The continental breakfast was prepared fresh every morning with fresh fruit, juices and bread and rolls. Mike always asked if there was anything we needed and gave us  information about Penzance and surrounding attractions. Very clean and comfortable , within walking distance of many pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend
