We were staying over the weekend as we were attending a wedding.
Sahar the owner was so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble for her.
Continental breakfast was lovely and filling and more offered if we wanted.
Room was spotless and bed so comfy.
Would recommend to friends and certainly go back again.

Amazing hospitality

If you love the beach, this is a pretty good place for you. Praa Sands is just across the road, and you can see scores of surfers riding the waves. 
If you drive, this is quite a strategic location as well. You can reach many different attractions and destinations within a half hour. These include St Michael's Mount, Lizard Point, St Ives and of course, Penzance.
The room is nicely furnished and the bathroom is modern. The breakfast is simple, and includes a nicely-done boiled egg.
My only gripe is that this establishment only accepted cash payments, which is not a viable option in this day and age. We had to specially go to a bank to withdraw the money to make the payment.

B&B by the beach

We had the most wonderful stay at Nablus.  Sahar the owner was very welcoming and could not do enough for us she gave us tips of where to go and visit and places to eat.   I loved the room we stayed in it was large and had a big set of draws a large dressing table also a large wardrobe which also had draws inside plus 2 bedside cabinets enough room for all my clothes .    The ensuite was a good size and lots of room to put your things away.  We enjoyed the continental breakfast with a good choice of cereals/  boiled egg/ toast / ham and cheese / croissants /  apples/ bananas / Sahar would asked if we needed more toast or did we want a yoghurt to start .   The breakfast room was upstairs with a lovely view of the sea .        I just wish we had booked a fortnight instead of a week .   I would just like to say Sahar was very helpful and kind she did put two extra blankets on the bed for me ( I am always cold) also Sahar went looking to buy for a little heater for the room for me.( Dear hubby was roasting by the way the room was warm it is just me who is cold )      We went from the 26th of May till the 2rd of June .    We hope to go back again in September we still have a lot more places to go and visit.   Praa sands has a wonderful beach plus beach bar.  I will post some photos soon.    

Highly Recommend Lovely B&B

Rooms were fresh and clean; location is close to beach and pub/restaurant.

Breakfasts were simple but pretty much what we expected for a B&B - and quite filling!

Our friendly host Sahar really went out of her way to help us; a real stand out. Thanks!

Wonderful friendly host; immaculately clean rooms

Well what can I say. This was a catalogue of issues right from the start!

1. We'd been told by the owner in an email prior to our stay that a cooked breakfast was an extra £5 per person and that we could arrange all of this once we arrived, so on our arrival we asked if we can have the cooked breakfast. We were met with "oh no, not on such short notice!". She also made out that she'd never told us that we could arrange this on arrival. After further debate she then informed us that she could at a push do a cooked breakfast but that it would be £10 per person! We didn't want to make our stay awkward so we didn't argue with her. We simply said no thanks and shut the door.

2. Now whilst our room seemed clean, tidy and in good order there was a 'hidden' issue. Upon waking on our first morning there myself and my partner were shocked to discover that we had bites on our backs, legs and feet!!! Stupidly we again didn't raise this with the owner. We were on holiday and didn't want to end up with nowhere to stay so we kept quiet. We also couldn't think of exactly how to broach the subject with her. I regret this now as by the end of our four day stay I was covered. The pharmacist I saw during our holiday was unable to confirm what the bites were but did confirm them as bites.

3. The view from our bedroom window was something special - a weedy lawn and a giant satellite dish! Now on the website it states that the breakfast room overlooks the sea so we stupidly assumed that the bedrooms would also have a seaview - wrong! This property is an upside down house so the bedrooms are on the ground floor and therefore have either a view of the giant satellite dish or of the carparking. The breakfast room does however have a seaview as its upstairs. Not quite the seaview B&B we thought we were staying in!

4. Now the breakfast - this was something else. I've stayed in many B&Bs that offer a continental breakfast - it's usually a large buffet table filled with fruit salad, fruit juices, yoghurts, cereals, breads, pastries, cheeses and meats. This version of a continental breakfast was very 'limited'. The juice was already on our table - one small glass of orange juice each. We were offered the choice of tea or coffee. We sat down and waited. There was no buffet table in sight. Whilst we tucked into our cereal the owner brought out a bread basket that contained 2 brioche buns and 4 slices of cheap white toast - this was obviously our bread and pastries selection! She then returned moments later with 2 very hard boiled (and cold) eggs, these were closely followed by 5 slices of yellow processed cheese and 5 slices of reformed ham! The jams, sugar and butter were all in those little sachets that you'd expect to see in a roadside cafe and not in a £70 a night B&B. As for the fruit salad I'm guessing it was a make-your-own affair as the only fruit on our table was a fruit bowl with a few apples and bananas in it. There were also no yoghurts (or the option of having any!). She never once offered us brown or wholemeal bread or any other choice for that matter - it wasn't until our last day there that we learnt that brown bread was available. This has to be the strangest continental breakfast that we have ever eaten and also all the items on offer were cheap products. Boring is another word I would use. Cheap and boring.

5. Further to my comments on the breakfast I felt it important to highlight this issue separately: mouldy toast! On our first morning there I was eating my toast when I looked down and saw that it was covered in mould! Yuck! Obviously we told her and she sort of screeched, took the toast away and dashed into the kitchen. She returned minutes later with more toast. Before eating any of the second batch we inspected it closely and guess what? Yep, mouldy! I called her over once more and once again she screeched, took it away and returned once more with 'fresh' toast and yes you've guessed it the third batch was also mouldy! Again I called her over and again she screeched saying she didn't understand why it was mouldy and that she would now open a new loaf! We were stunned that it had actually taken her this long to realise that she needed to open a new loaf of bread! Thankfully the fourth attempt at toast was mould-free!

6. If you are a light sleeper then be warned! The walls in this place are paper thin and I really mean that. For example on our first morning there I was in our bathroom and I could hear loud and clear the lady in the next room having a wee! We could also hear everything else that goes on in people's rooms! Perhaps offering ear plugs would be a nice gesture for future guests!

7. At one point I felt like I was an extra in a prison drama. I say that because the doors and locks in this place have to be the loudest ever, giving you that jailhouse feel as the clicks and bangs reverberate off the walls! Even trying to close a door quietly creates a loud bang and as for locking your door that can't be done quietly either. Day and night noise. I was woken countless times over our stay by the loud noise of someone merely unlocking their bedroom door!

8. If you stay here I hope you don't have a biscuit craving/sweet tooth like my partner. Upon our arrival he headed straight for the complementary biscuits and ate both packets. No problem I hear you say. Well the following day we arrived back at our room and yes the tea bags, milk and sugar had been replaced but not the biscuits! Apparently the 2 packs of mini cookies were meant to last us 4 days!

This place is a joke! The breakfast was horrible, the views are crap (unless you are in the upstairs breakfast room), the bed was rock hard, our room had extra guests and all for £70 per room per night!!! Rip off! More like a £40-£50 per room per night. 

So you might be asking yourselves why we put up with it all and why we didn't leave early. We decided that we couldn't afford to look elsewhere and we didn't want to have to ask her to refund our money. We knew she wouldn't. We didn't have the funds to pay for somewhere else as well and we needed a break. We decided to make the best of it and spent as little time as possible in our room. Also despite it not having a seaview it was only a 1 minute walk to the beach. This was this place's saving grace. Needless to say we won't be returning!
