Just returned from a couple of days in Pickering where we stayed there for B&B. Amanda rang the day before we arrived to check the time of our arrival as she was leaving at a particular time but wanted to check us in before leaving, which I thought was a nice touch. Our room was clean and bright with en-suite, tea making facilities, TV and a lovely view of the garden. There was information in the room about the area, things to do and places to eat which was really helpful. There's a living room downstairs we were advised we could use at our own leisure with TV and DVDs available. Breakfast was ordered the night before and we weren't disappointed. Cereal, yogurt and fruit were available to help yourself to. Orange/apple juice, tea/coffee, full/half breakfast, eggs on toast, porridge, kippers, a good full choice all presented well and very tasty. Amanda was really cheery, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Pickering.

Cosy retreat

If you want a guided mountain biking day or, multiple day, trip in the North York Moors, then look no further. 
Having already spent a fantastic few days with Mike in 2018, I booked our 2019 annual “Manx Misfits on tour” trip (15 riders) with GMB.

We rode directly from Pickering with Mike for two days, and covered just about every inch of “must ride” trail.
Routes were perfect, guiding/section briefings, and all round professionalism was the order of the day.

Guided Mountain Biking

Amanda was very welcoming and Eleven Westgate felt like a home from home with access to a lounge and DVDs as well as our rooms. The breakfasts were great (especially the kippers that Amanda specially bought). 

Great B&B

We decided to book a last minute overnight stay in Pickering and chose Eleven Westgate via a third party bookiing site.  Within minutes of our booking we got a phone call from Amanda to arrange arrival time etc.  When we arrived, we were made very welcome by Amanda who offered us refreshments  in the guest lounge and was very knowledgeable about Pickering, giving us lots of tips about things to do and recommendations for where to eat.  This is a lovely, clean guest house.  Our room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.  Breakfast was piping hot, and beautifully cooked.  We visit Pickering a lot so we will definitely be going back to Eleven Westgate, and would highly recommend it.

Very relaxing stay

Stopped here just the one night but received the warmest of welcomes from Amanda and Mike. Well located just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Pickering A beautifully clean home from home, with fantastic breakfast too. A* Highly Recommended.

Expert guiding etc from Mike; fabulous breakfast to get you fuelled; excellent, clean accommodation. If you’re looking for great accommodation, for any visit to this area, look no further.
