Stayed for one night whish it was longer my wife picked this as a gift experience for me to stay with our dog. Never been to this area before but will definitely be back. The room we were given had its own front door and another to enter the main building and dining area which suited us have the dog. The room was spotless very good breakfast the owners were very friendly and helpful definitely got service with a smile.

Excellent

We were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful B & B for our anniversary and to say we had a magical experience would be an understatement. The hosts were beautiful people, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the area of Thornton le Dale next to Pickering needs to be seen to be believed. Do yourself a favour and give it a go....you really won't regret it.

Magical experience

We should have stayed here in the earlier part of this year, but sadly this was cancelled for obvious reasons. Ron and Lindsey were good enough to hold this booking over until this September. They are such a lovely helpful and welcoming couple, nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are excellent, clean with all you you need. Social distancing is observed and we felt as safe as could be expected during our stay. The breakfast was excellent with all you could wish for. 
Thornton Le Dale is in a lovely area and the Bridgeffoot B&B a lovely place to stay. Thank you Ron and Lindsey, we will be back....Pam and Bob

A very relaxing 3 night stay

We spent three nights at the B&B. We had our own entrance and a very comfortable bedroom and large shower room. Breakfast was  eautifully cooked and presented using local high quality produce.The fresh fruit starter was lovely. 
The owners are friendly and helpful. They have good systems in place for Covid so we felt safe at all times.
Attracti e building in a beautiful village. Very scenic with places to eat and lovely walks. 
We highly recommend this B&B.

A Gem

What a lovely place to stay and set in the lovely village of Thornton le Dale here in Yorkshire.
Our hosts were very friendly and approachable and the Breakfast is to die for.

Our first but not our last visit 👍

Stayed here for 2 nights as a base to explore the North York Moors. The owners were fantastic, welcoming and very friendly. The room was excellent, the cleanliness was great, the breakfast fantastic and a wonderful garden to relax in with a glass of wine. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely Wonderful

Stayed here a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have stayed before so are repeat visitors, once again didn't fail to impress. Ron and Lindsey looked after us well with a lovely welcome and an excellent breakfast. Thornton Dale is ideally located for a visit to the coast or a trip up to Dalby Forest for a spot of cycling. Thankyou for our lovely stay.

Lovely stay

 My sister in law treated us to a night away, because of the beautiful surroundings we chose the Bridgefoot. The area is beautiful but we didn't get to see the garden at the property having been advised that our dog was not allowed anywhere else than our room because not everyone liked dogs.
Our room had a pulled thread in the carpet, a patch of mould on the wall and our window wouldn't close - kept pulled to with a piece of wire. The wall plug sockets were wobbly and one had a hole on the top. 
The bathroom floor was grimy with old dust behind the sink pedestal and around the toilet. There was also a black cap near the loo with caked dirt on it. The edges of the floor, wood work and windowcill were grimy and discoloured and in places mouldy. The shower head was caked with limescale and the grout in between the lower shower tiles were black in places as was the runner of the sliding shower door. I was quite offended that for our one night away together we were given the room.
In the dining room the salt shaker was cracked and the butter dish lid chipped; I couldn't help but feel that attention was not in the detail and i can only presume that the unclean state was reserved for the 'dog friendly' room having seem other reviews For people who manage to get away once in a while and may choose Bridgefoot for their stay; I do think it's important for them to know what it is they should expect.

DOG FRIENDLY STAY

I have stayed at bridgefoot before and loved it - so it was my first choice to stay in when visiting Thornton Le Dale - this time I visited with my dogs, we were given a lovely room.... although I have dogs myself I do worry what ‘dog friendly’ places will be like but I didn’t need to worry, the room was lovely and clean and my dogs and myself were made to feel very welcome - you can tell Ron and Lindsey are dog lovers! 
The breakfast was beautiful with so much choice - I didn’t need to eat again until tea time. 
I highly recommend staying at Bridgefoot Guest House - you get a very warm welcome from Lindsey and Ron, the breakfast is lovely, the beds are comfy, and dogs are welcome too - what more can you want 

Lovely dog friendly place to stay

Stayed for one night on our way to travel on the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway.  We had a lovely night in a spotlessly clean, warm room with very comfortable beds.  The breakfast was delicious, featuring local produce, cooked perfectly. Our hosts, Ron and Lindsey, were very hospitable and welcoming.  We definitely hope to visit again and explore more of the area around the beautiful village Thornton-le-Dale.
