Really lacking utensils, no grill tray, no oven trays, no wooden spoons, only 2 saucepans! The dish washer door was broken, the cooker worked but had no markings on the oven so you didn't know what temperature you were setting it at! Our lodge was cold, but we were able to get a heater! No hairdryers in the lodge you could borrow from the 'cupboard ' at the laundry! There was only a hand brush and shovel so not easy to clean before leaving the accommodation! The people running the site are lovely, friendly and very helpful and helped where and when they could! The location is okay and would obviously be better if the Inn was open! Unfortunately it's closed so you have to take the car everytime you wanted to go out for a meal or shopping in Pitlochry itself!

Weekend break

Booked a 2 night stay as a family of 4. Lodge was filthy, food left on the bottom of the freezer with open bag of ice cubes, toaster/pans/shower all filthy. Shower was lukewarm with no pressure too cold to wash our toddler. Paint work is coming off/marked. Gap in the bottom of the balcony door letting in a freezing draft. Totally disappointed we didn’t even stay 24 hours left after 1 night. Has potential to be a nice place if it had some time put into it but wouldn’t recommend to anyone at the moment. 

Don’t waste your money

Very misleading description. Booked a one bedroom lodge for two nights. All the pictures on their website show stand-alone chalets but their one bedrooms are terraced huts tucked away in a corner overlooking a rusty bridge and grass banking. The lodge we were given ‘Beauly’ was tired, rusty radiators and damp ceilings. Not quite what their website promises. 

Misleading accommodation description and pictures-overpriced for what it is.

We had a fantastic few nights away at Logierait lodges.  We had stayed previously before and felt it was great value for money. Lodges are clean, tidy and dog friendly too. The lodges are in a great location we visted Faskally, Blair Atholl, Aberfeldy and Pitlochry. We also walked to Ballinluig for a drink with the dog one night it literally is only a 10 minute walk. We made use of the bus service just outside the church to Aberfeldy for our tea it was great. We also love Logierait woods for walks but didn’t manage there this time. We will definitely be back. Fantastic stay 😊

Overdue review of these lodges. Have been twice now (in the last 10 months) and love the location. So handy for touring and very dog friendly. A lovely walk on the doorstep over the old viaduct. Behind the lodges 2 mins in the car on the old road to Pitlochry are fabulous woods. We loved the view of the old curling pond. 

The lodges have parking alongside and last time we had the accessible lodge which was fabulous for the oldies in the family with the wet room shower. Always warm and welcoming and we have found them to be very clean.  After a 4 hour drive it’s nice to arrive to a warm and welcoming lodge, with a bottle of fizz and tea and coffee. Nice location and lovely balconies with super cute ducks each morning. Staff really helpful and friendly.  Although just off a road we slept like logs and heard no traffic noise. Good communication on booking and helpful information if requested. 

Service station and cafe at Ballinluig - less than 5 mins in the car excellent for brekkie or other meals. Treat yourself to a fab hot chocolate at Grandtully at the Highland Chocolatier. Many fab cafes in Pitlochry that are dog friendly as well as Dunkeld. Will be returning soon for a third visit! 

Fabulous Lodges, Staff and Location

Lovely comfortable accommodation with everything you need provided. Great views and stunning scenery all around. Really cosy and warm! Close to Pitlochry and other nice walks. Would definitely recommend it for families looking for a homely weekend. Lots of friendly ducks out the back! 

Great accommodation and stunning location 

Just back we stayed for 3 nights excellent accommodation very cosy in the winter and a great location to explore Perth. Peaceful and quite but very close to Pitlochry and Aberfeldy etc.. The heating was excellent and a great place to chill after going out for the day definitely would return. 👍👍🍷

Cosy lodges

We traveled here last June myself husband two sons & sons friend we had a 2 bedroom lodge , our daughter husband & baby came at same time they had a 1 bed lodge the setting is lovely lodges are good size well equipped with everything you need loved the balcony on our larger lodge was lovely to sit in at night , Pitlochry is a ten minute drive away & Perth around 25 mins we took kids to Perth swimming pool which was fab & a farm play park called active kids which was great day out to , the only thing missing from lodges was maybe some luxury like hot tub we go to lodges a lot & it’s one of things we missed not having also maybe a play area for kids even small swing set slide we would return but only as a couple with the dog as we had to return from a day out early as owners phoned us to say we weren’t allowed to leave dog in lodge the dog was in his crate as he’s crate trained as much as we understood this it should have been advertised as we didn’t know before going we would never leave dog for long it was only for 2 hours max just hinders you if with kids can’t do much if you can’t leave dog at all

Peaceful relaxing break

Lovely weekend catch up with friends at Logierait. Gorgeous riverside setting with resident ducks! The lodge was clean, warm and cosy, complete with fairy lights round the balcony. We visited Aberfeldy and Dunkeld which are both a short car ride away…lovely independent shops, cafes and pubs with riverfront views. Lots of lovely walks nearby. Our hosts Lisa and Niall were welcoming and helpful.  Highly recommend x

Cosy Winter Break

Generally lovely lodges. Location is great to use as a base to visit the surrounding areas. No direct dog walking areas within walking distance of Lodge unless you are comfortable walking along a relatively well used roads. However, there are lots of walks within 10-20 minute drive.
The lodge itself is basic but clean. All your essentials are available, and things like more toilet paper and access to clothes washing facilities are readily available. Lots of cupboards for storage. The heating is easy to use, and there is no extra cost if you need to crank it up in the chilly scottish nights. Wi-fi worked for us and is also included in the cost. Although the TV was not connected to the Internet (so no Netflix) there is a dvd player on it and a selection of dvds available in the laundry room, which you are free to make use of.

Some minor drawbacks for us were that it was advertised as dog friendly, although dogs are not allowed on furniture (which is completely fair), but dogs are not even allowed in the bedroom at all - this would have been beneficial to know beforehand.
The bed was so uncomfortable that we woke up sore during the night, the pillows were cheap and flat, and the duvet was paper thin. 
There were no hooks anywhere to hang up towels after your shower. There were no shelves in the bathroom for your toiletries, and the bathroom door had frosted glass at the top but could really do with having a blind for some more privacy.
The bedroom needed a chest of drawers or a small dressing table and a better mirror, somewhere I could put my stuff.
Overall, it's a good place to stay, and we will stay again in the future. Fingers crossed the mattresses will have been upgraded, though!
