Smallish (about 20 rooms?) family-run business that’s the most dog-friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed at. 

Nicely situated a five minute walk up the hill from Pitlochry’s main street. 

3 star plus in terms of facilities but 5 star for friendliness and service. This was our third stay at the Rosemount and there were a few other repeat visitors too.

Dogs warmly welcomed, well-behaved humans too.

Room very clean, beds warm and cosy. Pet was accomodated and welcomed.
Views overlooking the area from bedroom too. Food lovely and staff couldn't be more helpful. Evening meal available and there was a bar too in this small family hotel.
Would recommend and I would use again.

Ticked the box for us.

We wanted to do something different for Hogmanay, so we decided to go to Pitlochry. We had visited before, but not during winter. We felt at home from the moment we walked through the door. Anne and Keith were amazing hosts, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful,  nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. We loved the live singer but we are not great dancers... maybe next year? Our dog felt very much at home too and even got a sausage breakfast every morning. And at midnight we were offered free Prosseco as we watched the fire works around a roaring fire, absolutely wonderful.
The cherry on the cake, was coming down for breakfast and be greater by the song of a traditional bagpiper. We just can't wait for Hogmanay 2024

Wonderful first Hogmanay, many to come

Beware! Money is paramount at the Rosemount. We paid a rather hefty £400 deposit
and a little later a further £1,076. We ended up not being able to stay at the Rosemount. We expected to loose our deposit but not  all of the payment as well.
At first we were promised some of the money back.  Then we were told the money was needed to go towards the Rosemount’s New Year activities and salaries, even although we hadn’t had as much as a cup of tea there. We have exchanged a few emails one including the Rosemount’s  finance rights regarding clients.  But surely the clients must also have rights!
The replies from the Rosemount have now dried up. We have had no replies to our last 
two emails.
So please take care when dealing with this hotel.

Had a lovely 3 day stay over New Year. Accommodation was 'ground floor suite' very large room with couch and chair, huge very comfortable bed. Access from hotel and direct access to outside, great with our 2 dogs. Hotel very dog friendly, staff were absolutely fabulous all round and couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one. Food was good too. Entertainer over New Year's Eve very personable, friendly and inclusive, good mix of traditional and modern music, talked through the Ceilidh dances first to get everyone in the floor very enjoyable. All in all a good New Year!

Good New Year break

Once again a wonderful trip to our favourite hotel and one of our favourite places. Anne and Keith were the hosts with the most. Kind. Welcoming. Friendly. We aren't guests we are treated like Friends/family.  Brilliant place to relax your head while you take in the the town of Perth. Our children feel safe and happy. And 4 legged friends are very welcome also. Situated at the top of pitlochry with stunning scenery. Great walks etc. A home from home. 

Breathe and relax 

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay at this dog friendly hotel.  Made to feel welcome, very attentive staff and nice freshly cooked meals.  Centrally located in the town and a short walk from the Main Street. Highly recommend for a relaxing break.

Very comfortable and well catered for.

The hotel is set in a very quiet area with fantastic views into Pitlochry.   It is only a few minutes walk from the Town and is very easy access to the train station and bus pick-up area.  The owners are so helpful and made our stay special.  The hotel is dog friendly for people who would like to bring there pets.  The breakfast was very good and you chose what you want the night before, dinner is also booked this way of you take up the option.  The rooms are nice and comfortable and are very clean, and the room we were in had a fantastic view into Pitlochry. 

Lovely stay at a lovely quiet hotel

Staff and owners  are friendly and focused on looking after the customers. They provide good food and very good service at reasonable prices.   The hotel is ten minutes walk from the middle of Pitlochry and has excellent views over the valley.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in all public areas and in the bedrooms.

Very good dog-friendly hotel

Hotel short walk from town centre although during our stay roads and pavements were atrocious with snow and ice, not hotels remit obviously. 
Room was lovely with huge bed plus small single, very comfortable for great sleep. Plenty of storage space plus hangers. When we arrived room was cold and we noticed gaps at side of sash windows ,plugged this with toilet paper which worked , told owner when checking out and she said I should have said and they would have sorted it. It was Hogmanay!!
Bathroom great with walk-In shower although pressure wasn't great, towels were small and thin but just adequate. 
We were on a 2 day Hogmanay break which was enjoyable although entertainment was ok,just. Company was good and dogs enjoyed it, a really dog friendly hotel.
Staff were very good and helpful and the food was a decent quality , don't expect draft beer but a good selection of bottled beers and spirits, wine wasn't the best.
Would like to return to Pitlochry in better weather and would probably go back to the Rosemount in same room.
