Green Park….Nothing compares to you!
We were on a four day break, which coincides with my wife’s birthday.
We both enjoyed our totally relaxing break, nothing is forgotten here to make every day a special day. 
The staff are excellent, each and every one of them are so helpful and friendly with a genuine smile!
We particularly liked the new menu, it was so nice to try different things from a very talented chef.
We also made new friends while we were there which was very nice too.
We have booked for the same time next year, looking forward to it already!

Excellence on all fronts!

We have been lucky to stay in some wonderful hotels but The Green Park is simply outstanding. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. When I phoned to book the delightful receptionist asked if we were celebrating anything and I mentioned that ut was our wedding anniversary. Imagine our surprise to find a bottle of bubbly and nice card in our room. The food was both plentiful and if high quality. For us, it was the staff who were exceptional, from simple greetings in passing right through to genuinely wanting to make your stay the best. We will definitely book again later in the year and will look forward to returning.  One final point... the hotel was cosy warm, a huge bonus for someone with an underlying health condition that makes me feel the cold even in summer months!

Returning to the Green Park is like being enveloped in a huge warm hug f!. We had intended to get back in the period between our History film break last year and this year but when we had availability it was always full. Always a good sign but book well in advance. Even in February the dining room was full every evening. 

 We stayed for four nights in a beautiful loch view room and again food fantastic both at dinner and breakfast (and our lunch as part of the course) (the  porridge not to be missed as a first breakfast course!) and the home baking a completely unnecessary but delightful treat every day. 

Ian gave a great course again and lovely to see familiar faces from last year and catch up.

The reviews here are accurate and hard to improve on or add to as the hotel is unbelievably spotless, the grounds kept well and a beautiful location where you are entertained just looking out at the view. We were lucky enough to be there on a Saturday evening this year too so had the added benefit of a ceildh which was great fun. 

Hospitality is all about people and this is where the Green Park (and Alastair and his team) truly excel - the same smiling faces work there year after year, always lots of helpful and genuine staff around and it is a very well run ( and happy) ship. Many hoteliers could learn lessons from the Green Park management team as it is clear the staff are treated well as it shines through in their demeanour and attitude. 

We will be back and determined not to leave it 12 months this time!

Excellent as ever

I still maintain that despite my worldwide travels, this is the most comfortable and guest focussed hotel that I have ever stayed in. Others have described the details ….lovely artwork and paintings, superbly comfy rooms and lounge areas , attentive and kind staff.  I didn’t think it was possible and yet… I think the food this year was even better than previously with every flavour of every dish just hitting the right note. Thank you again for a fabulous stay .

Simply the best

We stayed here for one night as it was a gift. We liked it so much we have booked to stay in the summer. If you want to escape in lovely surroundings and have everything done for you then this is the place. I would say it is definitely for the more mature person (at 54 I was probably the youngest by far) but it really is a place where you are well looked after. The room was very spacious and clean and there was a wide variety of tv channels. The hotel also provides books, games and jigsaws if you want. There is also free tea/coffee and cakes in the afternoon which you are encouraged to help yourself too plus, before dinner there is also free sherry (never had it before but was very nice) or fruuit juice. The dinner menu changes daily and there is an excellent choice - the servers are very helpful and, if you put your table number on its side, they know not to bother you (excellent idea). Breakfast was plentiful and again, a wide choice.

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff - you feel very well looked after

Stopped in for a coffee with my friends whilst out on a walk & the service we received was second to none. It really makes all the difference (& isn't too common in some places these days!). We sat outside in the sun & enjoyed our cuppas, perfect.  

Excellent service

It is a few years since I have had the pleasure of staying at The Green Park Hotel and on this occasion it was a birthday treat from my daughter,  The hotel was as I remembered it with stunning views, excellent service, spotlessly clean rooms and an impressive selection of artwork around the corridors and public rooms.  The staff are very friendly and efficient and the breakfast buffet selection has to be the best I have had in any hotel. The civilised pre-dinner sherry in the lounge allows you to choose at leisure from the menu and orders are taken once seated at a table of your choice in the bright dining room.  The hotel gardens in early September were bright and colourful, the lawns beautifully manicured and there are several seats in strategic positions for those who wish to sit and admire the view or read a book. For those who require them the hotel also offers the use of motorised wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome and catered for. The general atmosphere is restful and relaxing and various courses are run during the year, as well as offers of transport and theatre tickets for those interested.

Lovely to be back!

The hotel could already be seen from the bridge over the Loch. They have two charging stations, all the way behind the large hotel. 
Upon arrival, the hotel is even more imposing. Welcome is warm. We get an extensive tour by the lady from the desk through the different rooms in the building towards our room. 
Nice, fresh room with a lovely smell. 
We are invited to have a sherry for dinner in one lounge or the other after check-in. This is offered by the house, as well as coffee / tea with biscuits (homemade) in the afternoon and coffee / tea with shortbread in the evening after dinner. 
At the windows in the rooms and at the windows in the lounge are beautiful binoculars! You can see everything on the Loch and the adjacent forests. 
Dinner is appetizer-in-main course and dessert! Pooh, expanded a bit. From early in the morning until late at night you will be taken care of here!
After three days we notice that the preparation of all this is a bit simple. On the third day, the food is best prepared. 
Putting holes have been made in the garden and a lot of use is made of them. Nice to see.
Hotel attracts many old people up to and including various wheelchair users. It almost looks like a nursing home; This can also be seen in the bathroom: supports everywhere. 
There are guests who have been coming here every year since the new owners / renovation in 1996; some even 7x a year for three weeks! 
Lots of art in all areas and rooms.


excellent stay in Pitlochry

Came for my father’s 89th birthday. Live nearby so unlikely ever to stay but interior is lovely. A very trad Scottish cuisine menu done excellently and with great produce, with the lovely staff and the outlook over the garden and loch this is the quintessential country hotel lunch experience. Thanks for a great visit.

Birthday lunch at the Green Park

Nothing compares to you.
Having recently stayed at The Green Park, I had to write to express sincere thanks from my partner & myself for our stay at such a wonderful establishment.   Our greeting on arrival by Sharon in Reception really set the tone and our room, number 21, was very comfortable - we wanted for nothing!
Thanks to Aini & Josephina for keeping it spick & span each day.
The choice of menus both at breakfast and dinner was exceptional, so thanks to the chef and all the catering staff.
The service in the dining room was first class - all the waitresses and waiters were efficient, polite and very helpful and I must mention Harold and Chris - AKA Roberto !!   Thank you.
The lounges are light & airy, with such a good variety of furniture and we were most grateful for the complimentary tea/coffee & cold drinks not to mention the varieties of Amontilado Sherry before dinner.
