Very very impressed with this beautiful Guest House, with such welcoming proprietors.
The rooms are superb and the beds are so comfy.
Breakfast is a knockout!!!! Yum yum yum

Fantastic!!!!!

This is a lovely little b&b in a great location. Easy to park outside using Ringo. The bed in room 7 was comfortable and absolutely huge! We both had an anazing nights sleep. Breakfast was good and the coffee was exceptional! We will definitely visit again.

Excellent!

I didn't actually stay in this establishment. But I did book it, the avert on booking.com is extremely misleading and states a fabulous breakfast. On booking you get sent a message saying continental breakfast only due to Ill health. I then asked the owner to cancel but she refused and I  found her attitude extremely unhelpful.

Unreasonable attitude to cancellations

Stayed an extra night in Plymouth after spending a week in the City. Booked on booking.com. Received a warm welcome from the owner. I was impressed with the room, modern decor and modern ensuite with a large walk in shower.  There was a good choice for breakfast. Recommend. 

Comfortable stay. 

Booked last minute as a stop over on way to our honeymoon. Really beautiful room, super comfy and clean. The ensuite was spacious, clean and modern. Hosts were really friendly and helpful. Was a little noisy, but that was more the guests in the next room than anything else. Really enjoyed our stay. 

Last Minute Booking

Value for money for this fantastic location and lovely guest house is unbeatable. Perfect spot for enjoying the Barbican, the Hoe and catching the ferry to Cawsand! Lesley was the perfect host and had put every possible measure in place to ensure guests and staff were protected (in light of covid). I felt completely confident in how they’re running things and will definitely be back before the summer is out! Thanks Lesley :)

Perfect coastal break at Firs

Our initial impression of this B & B was mediocre, as the owners/hosts weren't there - it was 4.45 p.m.  However, Tony, one of our hosts, arrived home shortly thereafter and was very apologetic.  He had taken his wife to the hospital, where she was having chemotherapy.  Our ensuite room was fine - clean and comfortable - and our breakfast the following morning was lovely.  Both Tony and his wife seemed quite stressed, which was understandable given their current circumstances, however they made our short stay there enjoyable.  There is free street parking (something not always found in street parking in England!).

first impression not good as on arrival was greeted with a basic what's your name your room is 2nd floor breakfast 8,15.No friendly greeting or smile,Explained started work 8,30 could i have bacon roll to take away at i had read other visitor had been offered it.But no was told breakfast 8,15 and i could help myself to tea and toast,,,Room was clean and basic but ok,

I have never found myself in sucb a situation. I have visited many countries, and work for the university here in Plymouth. I found this dive on booking.com, having previously been a dedicated follower of Airbnb. On this occasion I decided that a real hotel was necessary just to recharge the batteries.

Where to begin

I left my bags woth a very friendly attendant at around 2pm knowing it was not check in time. I went into town and came back and waited over an hoir for someone to answer. Whe  I did, I was greeted casually and given a key with no number and told to effectivelt find my room, all the while music blowing from the upper floor. 

It became clear that this is not a hotel but halfway house, and when I tried to go the the bathroom and return to my room I could not get in.

After 15 hours on a plane I demanded to be given my things and allowed to leave. I was aggressively shoen the door, with some items of clothing staying behind.

It amazes me that in this day and age such an establishment can still exist, and will be speaking to the council regarding the matter. As someone who spent a lot of time i  Plymouth, it saddens me to kbow that such places continue to operate.

Avoid... Please

Really pleased with the room we had and for a bargain price via Booking.com We arrived expecting shared facilities only to be directed to room 2 which came with an ensuite The room was tastefully decorated and spotless Next morning we tucked into a good piping hot full English We had a lovely stay Many thanks Firs x
