Excellent Restaurant 5 stars +, Superb Professional Service, Menu and Food excellent, we have dined here for Lunch, Sunday Lunch  and Evening Dinners  many times over the last few years, never disappointed, Food fresh and cooked to perfection and all request met, Hotel Rooms 5 star, even though we live in Plymouth, my wife and I have spent many long weekends staying here, Breakfast yes Please again 5 star, great start to the day and keeps us going all day until dinner time for yet more excellent food cooked from the heart by the chef's. The place to Dine for excellent fine dining

One of the best places to go to in both setting, which were stunning, and food.
The food was amazing and the waitress who served us couldn't do enough. I went when I had a cold and I asked if they had any lemon and ginger tea bags. They didn't but she came back with some hot water, lemon slices and a pot of honey. They didn't even charge me for it. She was my saviour. They go above and beyond there and will definitely go back.

Beautiful place, amazing food and amazing staff

We had our wedding at St Elizabeth’s house in September 2024 and it was incredible. The staff were fantastic at organising our whole event and everything went smoothly. We had the most perfect day and wouldn’t change a single thing. Becky and the wedding events team were fantastic and so helpful for any questions we had, they sorted any problem that we had on the day with no issues and looked after us from the day we booked to the day itself! 100% would recommend this venue for a wedding, the food was lovely & all staff were amazing. 

We had a marquee set up and the whole set up was exactly how wanted it! 

We will definetly be back for a nights stay in the future!

Wedding 2024

Came for a festive afternoon tea, lovely atmosphere and music. Becky was so friendly and efficient thank you. Afternoon tea was delicious, lots of cakes, sandwiches and home made scones which were gorgeous! Lovely way to start the weekend - will be back.

Afternoon tea

This is an excellent hotel steeped in traditional values of service. Nothing was too much for the staff and when our dinner booking doubled in size, it was just taken in their stride. 

Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge, very different from the modern shoeboxes other hotels offer - I will definitely book again.

An absolute gem

Beautiful location, really attentive service. Try the ham hock, chicken parfait starter! Best I've had. 
The lunch menu is vast, but seemed very fresh.
Try and get a window seat, overlooking the beautiful grounds. 
Will definitely try again.

Absolutely delightful

This was the first time we came here and what a beautiful place it is. From start to finish the staff were friendly and professional. Our room was amazing which was the Longbrook Junior Suite which had two roll top bathtubs next to each other with a huge walk in rain shower with complimentary toiletries. Only annoying thing was lack of shelving for our personal toiletries/toothbrushes etc and a decent light for applying make up. Plus the double doors made such a racket each time you went through them.  The bedroom was luxurious with a deep comfortable mattress with complimentary chocolate on arrival. One small bottle of water for two people seems a little lacking in thought also the total lack of drawer space in the bedroom. This can be remedied easily though as the room is large enough for a chest of drawers, this will also solve the lack of space to put other personal bits and pieces. 
Now for the best part - the food.  It was absolutely delicious and not small portions either. The price is very respectable and a good and varied choice to be had. I did see an Afternoon Tea being served to some guests and it looked amazing! I am a real foodie and expect a certain quality and you get this here. Maybe that is why restaurant booking is extremely advisable. There is a dress code and the ambiance is good here and good for romance as well as get togethers with family and friends. They have a drinks menu but when at the bar I saw that there were many more drinks available so that needs updating and also a larger variety of cocktails would be good too. After our dinner we sat in the bar and listened to some music playing whilst having drinks and talking and the ambience was lovely specially when they dimmed the lighting and put in the special lighting.  
The breakfast in the morning was equally lovely with an array of continental cuisine alongside cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit, yogurt. The hot food is cooked fresh which include the usual breakfast items, I had a cheese and ham omelette which was delicious.

Hidden Gem well worth staying and eating

We went for dinner mid-week. Absolutely delightful- perfect service, beautiful setting and superb food. Quite an extensive menu but the food served was presented well and didn’t taste reheated. It was our first visit but it won’t be our last!

Just wanted to say a ‘Big Thank You’ for all the help and effort put into dad’s 90th birthday celebration on Sunday night.  The room was decorated brilliantly and the waiting team were so attentive and personable.  The menu provided us with a great choice of dishes and the food was very tasty and of good quality.  With the restrictions we have regarding mixing publicly, due to Covid-vulnerability, it was a really comfortable evening and a memorable way to celebrate dad’s big day.  We would be grateful if you could pass our thanks on to all concerned.

A Great Evening Celebrating a 90th Birthday 

We just wanted to say thank you to Becky and the wedding staff who were amazing on our wedding day and the whole lead up to it. 
It was well organised and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff on the day, really helpful and kind. It really made the day special. I was put at ease by being checked in on regularly and reassured. 
I am so glad we chose St Elizabeth, our guests have all commented on the venue , staff and food. It really was the best day and we want to thank you for making it the best! 
I would thoroughly recommend St Elizabeth to any couple for their wedding day
