Our third stay at Alma House, that really says it all. Paula & Kelly make us so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. We feel like part of the family. Comfortable beds & pillows. Everything's clean & tidy. We like staying here. A plus is its on the bus route.

Home from home

What a wonder Guest House. We arrived early and was greeted with a smile and was able to check in straight away which was fantastic after a 5 hour drive. The hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in a family room and everything you needed was in there. Thank you for the Rocky biscuits 😜. The beds were really comfortable and it was really quiet at night. We had to order what we wanted for breakfast the night before. The breakfast was lovely and if you needed more drink or toast you could. Would definitely stay here again. Give it a try.

Excellent Guest House and lovely hosts

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
The bathroom was small but clean and well appointed.
Our hosts were very friendly and offered us recommendations of things to see and places to eat.
The location was a bit far for us to walk to the Barbican but was an inexpensive cab ride and not an issue.
Plymouth is a wonderful place to visit and The Alma Lodge Guest House was the perfect location for us to enjoy the city.

Excellent stay and I’d recommend it to everyone visiting Plymouth.

A warm welcome from the owner who showed us to our large & well furnished room. Where’s the bathroom? He revealed it behind a cupboard door: toilet, basin and shower & it was perfect.

Beds were very comfy and it was nice and quiet so we had a cracking night’s sleep. 

Cooked Breakfast was excellent, especially the sausage. The hostess then gave us some info about Plymouth to help our stay. She’s a real asset to the city. 

We’ll definitely be returning here next time we’re staying in Plymouth.

Excellent stay in a friendly B&B

We came for our Daughter's graduation from Plymouth University. We found this place on the Web. It was spotless. The owners were very friendly,welcoming and helpful. Had a lovely breakfast and anything we needed was provided

What an absolute lovely guest house, rooms are top class, service is top class, run by a mother and daughter, would 100% recommend. Ideal location to Plymouth town and Central Park. We stayed as we were doing to Live in the park which is right across the road.

Welcoming and friendly greeting, very clean and lovely room. Excellent breakfasts. 
Nothing was too much trouble. 
Great location, on main bus routes to city centre.
Parking was in easy access.
Lovely family run guest house, felt like being made home from home.

needed a base camp for a family meetup in plymouth, and I am so glad we found the Alma Lodge. the staff are absolutely lovely, very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was perfect; clean and nicely decorated with useful USB lamps for charging phones. The bathroom was gorgeous, very clean and modern. 

There were lots of nice little touches. You order your breakfast the night before and can choose your own time. The breakfast itself was delicious - wonderful home cooked food. would highly recommend. 

great place to stay - nothing is too much trouble 

We stayed here for a concert at home park. This accommodation is a 10 min walk from the train station and just opposite Home Park. The room was clean and spacious, with a good shower. The hosts couldn't have been friendlier and breakfast was really nice. Would definitely recommend. 

Perfect

I stayed for 2 nights in early July 2022 and loved it. Upon my I received a warm welcome from Kerry who showed me to my room and explained the local area on a free map, which was very helpful. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from and very good quality food - especially the bacon! Nothing was too much trouble for Kerry, even when I needed some ice due to a foot injury, it was quickly provided. My room was at the front of the house but the extra glazing meant that it was very quiet indeed. 
I will definitely stay here next time I am in the area and hope to return some later this year with my wife.
