Visited with my wife and son. Echo some of the previous reviews, food is way overpriced. 

We ordered a kids meal, fish and chips and a chicken and chips. 2 x adult fish and chips arrived, chicken was as expected but chips were wrong. Kids meal being £6 but ended up paying £16 In total for it due to adult meal arriving, our own fault in a way for not speaking up but we were all starving .  As already mentioned £16 per meal is crazy, some if the food I wouldn't be surprised came from Asda frozen aisle.

Much better places in Portrush to eat.

Giving 2 stars as some staff were pleasant.

Food way overpriced

Absolutely love this spot! Service is great always greeted with a smile comfy atmosphere great selection of food and beverages to choose from. Rossanna always goes out of her way for her customers along with all the rest of the staff 1010 every time.

Best spot in the port

Would give 0 star if I could, terrible food and terrible attitudes from all staff 
Spend £52 on food for one bite of each meal to be eaten as food was disgusting at best, when complained we were ignored by waiter he said NOTHING and lifted plates and walked away! Waiting staff were teenagers who were play fighting among each other as we attempted to eat the muck they serve as “food” £11.75 for a chicken burger and a pathetic slap of coleslaw and an extra £4.50 for a handful of frozen chips, day light robbery is the only thing that springs to mind! We complained again when paying bill to be told oh sorry I will pass this on to “chef” bit far fetched to call him a chef when anyone can heat a ready meal lol, we then complained for the third time at reception to manager and receptionist to be questioned if we let the waiting staff know the food was so poor! He then said I’ll go in and see what’s going on, nothing else said about it, no trying to sort the issue, after paying £250 for the hotel room and £52 on food I wouldn’t give to my dog it’s safe to say I wouldn’t recommend anyone stepping foot over this door, I am disgusted with the attitudes of staff as they really don’t care to hear any sort of complaints of criticism

I stayed here for a night last weekend and had a great experience. 
Every member of staff I met was extremely friendly and helpful. 
My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was in a good condition.
The bar/ restaurant was great too with very pleasant service.
Very central location within an easy walk from the station and beaches.
If I ever need to stay in Portrush again, it'll definitely be at The Port Hotel.

Fantastic Hotel

Popped in for evening meal. Only downside is the lack of ale varieties. I had the chicken extreme burger, succulent pure chicken breast perfectly cooked, with lovely thick bacon and cheese in a toasted bun. The onion rings were crispy and tasty and the chips were hot and not greasy. The staff were welcoming and attentive, very pleasant bunch. Will definitely be back.

Great wee restaurant

Excellent service we went there for our dinner, a couple of times,  steak and pepper sauce amazing, staff were fantastic great service great banter, yes we really wanted tomato juice, the best place to eat for value, quality and quantity 

Fabulous place to eat

Place is disgusting 🫣 the mannerism of the manager is appalling, food is basic and you can tell frozen. Will never return to this place ever again. Kiwis next door is amazing great service, try there everyone 

Appalling experience

Just had a fantastic dinner with my wife in the Porthotel. We both had the large 10oz steak specials. Both cooked to perfection and delicious. Difficult to finish the meal.
The staff were very attentive. Jennifer Gary and Stacey were were fantastic.
Will return on our next visit to Portrush and highly recommend you come here too!

Best sirloin steak in a long time.

The cleanliness of this place is absolutely disgusting 😑 dust and dirt everywhere.
Food is vile and overpriced compared to any other restaurant in the town. 
The manager is a horrible OLD man.
Not *CHILD* friendly at all, the dirty looks we received and how many times our children were told to be quiet. Kids will be kids
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

Place is dirty and not child friendly at all

We called in with family for a few drinks to be treated like dirt by the MANAGER!
* He told us we will be asked to leave if people come in for food.
*He told me that the babys pram wouldn't fit inside the bar so maybe better not going in.
*He told our son to stop playing with a toy gun 
* He turned away other family members that were coming to meet us telling them there was no room for them so they couldn't come in. 
Thankfully we left and went next door to Kiwis where the staff were lovely and were able to tell us that it's a known thing of how rude the manger is of the Port Hotel...people only need to read the replies on some of the reviews to get a picture of how ignorant this man is. I spoke to him at the end and told him how appalling his hospitality was and he argued with myself (a customer)....unreal
