Excellent, private guest house, stayed here 3 times, very handy for Prestwick airport too !friendly owners Linda and David, spotless and warm and comfy too,the town has many quaint and unusual little shops, restaurants, cafe bars, you must try and see the Ayrshire fiddle orchestra, all youngsters who have played all over the world, not to be missed.
I'll be back at Ferndean !!😎

had a very last minute overnight at this b&b and cannot fault it. owners were both lovely, both chatted away and were very welcoming. we ended up with a room round the back with its own entrance, which suited us perfectly. room itself was clean, nicely decorated and had ample storage/seating. we never had breakfast so cant comment on that. we go to prestwick regularly and will definately return here.

The room is the cleanest i have ever seen in UK. It was big too and with a fantastic bow window. The bathroom was clean and big too, especially the shower. The owner was so kind and funny. The place is highly recommended indeed!

We came from Canada for a family reunion in Prestwick and stayed at Fernbank and what a perfect hotel for this very special stay. We loved that we had our own entrance to our room and parking was free on site. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the owners were so friendly. We really enjoyed talking with them. The hotel is within one block to restaurants and stores. Great location! I would highly recommend this cozy beautiful hotel. It really made our stay in Prestwick memorable!

A touch of class!

Booked here for an overnight as we had an early morning flight from Prestwick. The owner David couldn’t have been any more friendly or helpful, sorted us out with a taxi for our middle of the night check out. Rooms were spotless and had everything you need. Local taxi arrived prompt to take us to the airport. Great start to our holiday. Would highly recommend.

I stayed here as i was working up in Prestwick and it didnt dissapoint one bit, firstly theres free parking, i got a warm greeting and my room was really nice with tea and coffee, a tv and nice comfortable bed. The shower has instant hot water. Only a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurants too. 


Excellent guest house

Room was clean and tidy.
Manager was helpful and friendly 
Breakfast was very good with good choices.
The Guest House was about 1.3 miles from the city centre not the 0.7 miles mentioned on there website.
However the walk in was manageable and the big plus was being able to park the car in the car park for the duration of our stay.

My wife and I have stayed in this fabulous little hotel a couple of times in the last month due to my father in law being in hospital near by
David and Lindas warm welcome made us feel destressed straight away
The rooms have ever thing you need tea coffee and even biscuits lol most importantly a very comfortable snuggly bed and the rooms are lovely and warm, just what you need on a chilly Scottish night
The cooked breakfast is beautiful and even catered for my wife who is gluten free
Location is perfect,come out turn right and within 100 metres is a quaint old pub where we was welcomed once again with open arms called the golf inn. It also does a great bit of pub grub 
The high street has a few different restaurants and shops to cater for your needs
I would highly recommend fernbank and can see why David and Linda have been successful over the last 20+ years as nothing was to much trouble

Great little hotel in perfect location

A pleasant place for a short weekend stay by the sea. About 10 minutes from the hotel there are restaurants, pubs and a bus stop with easy access to Glasgow. Very nice owner. We chose a room with a view of the sea - which turned out to be a more than less promotional text. The sea shone somewhere on the horizon, but the room mainly has a view of the tenement houses in front of it. If someone spends some more time in the room, there is a problem with heating (you can not turn on the heater when you want to, and in the morning it is quite cold). The issue of soundproofing is also exaggerated, you can hear conversations in the corridor and neighbors from the building next door (it is a twin), unfortunately the house is on a very busy street and trying to silence the windows, the moving trucks cause the floor and bed to shake. Plus, there are comfortable beds and good quality bedding. You could lightly refresh the ceiling (straight ahead of the bed a large stain after flooding) and at the bottom of a strange unpainted small doors. Despite many advantages, a big minus turned out to be a very small cabin in which it is simply uncomfortable (washing long hair is unpleasent).

A pleasant place for a weekend stay by the sea.

Found this fabulous Bed and Breakfast on booking.com but booked via The Fernbanks own website thanks to the hosts honest and clear communication. Loved our night here, perfect location for the bars/restaurants, gorgeous, clean room and the shower was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.
