The crown hotel is not very reliable I booked this coming bank holiday weekend 3/6/22 over 10 months ago I got an email from them today just two days before we were supposed to go saying they have cancelled our stay no explanation whatsoever very poor service especially as we have stayed their on a few occasions now we are forced to find elsewhere on this bank holiday jubilee weekend which will be hard going 👎

Didnt notice we had received a text with the room number as we were driving up. No reception even though there is a sign pointing you up the stairs, what hotel does not have a reception or somewhere you can go to for help? No key in door so had to call the contact number. There is also an old sign on the outside windows saying that they are only taking bookings from key workers, not tourists!
Dont know if this is for all rooms but in Room 8 - every time someone flushed a toilet in the hotel, a loud motor started up and ran for 20 sec.  You could not hear the TV while it was going and it woke us up with a start through the night. Beds were not made- is this a hotel?
Dont think breakfast was on offer - didnt ask.

So many issues ....

Stayed here with a few friends. No one to greet us, keys left in the door and you are told your room number before arrival. Room was basic and wall paper was peeling off the wall. Bed uncomfortable and the room smelled of smoke.Did not sleep very well at all. No breakfast available. Just seem to be using Covid as an excuse not to provide things. All round really poor and i will not be returning nor recommending

What a treat, ordered takeaway tonight. Mixed platter for two, daughter had tikka korma. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Ready on time, hot, delicious. Very filling, would highly recommend and will be back 

Amazing

Stayed for 2 nights recently. Both rooms seemed to have been recently renovated and were very clean. Great value for money and would definitely stay again. 
The Indian restaurant based within the premises looked nice and we try it next time we visit.

Brilliant stay lovely staff and great rooms would defiantly stay again. I would also recommend a leisure stay here. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Overall wonderful stay you will not be disappointed.

Booked in the Crown for one night as I was travelling for business.  Arrived at 19:25after a 2 1/2 hour drive to be told the restaurant closed at 7pm!  Not what you’d expect from a hotel and public house.  As a woman on her own I am loathe to go out looking for some where to eat on my own but needs must and I did find a fantastic restaurant, the Whitehall, not too faraway.
So having eaten, I retired to my room.  No bedside table.  A single bed whose mattress was past its day.  No soap or toiletries in the bathroom.  
On a positive, it was very clean but surely that’s to be expected?

Next morning I had work commitments which meant an early start -  however, the restaurant didn’t open until 8am and was rather a help yourself, make your own tea or coffee, toast affair.  A lady did come in around 8:10 and eventually ask if I wanted anything cooked.  By now I was half way through my self serve toast so too late for me.
When I checked out I really wanted them to ask about my stay so that I could give face to face feedback on my experience.  Not a word not even a hope to see you again!

You won’t.  Very disappointing, very poor value for money, no character, no customer service . One star for room cleanliness.

Very disappointing

Convenient car park by asda. Nice room good shower simple but comfortable. Missed breakfast as not served till 0830 and I had to leave before which was a pitty. Would certainly stay again as there is not much else in the area.

Night stay at an event

We have just been and checked into our gorgeous room, everywhere is clean and spotless and what I like and what I don't see elsewhere is spare tea coffee milk and toilet rolls on a cupboard on the landing outside the rooms, brilliant idea.
Also we have just had a lovely tea, the food was all piping hot and very tasty and the waitress  service was second to none, Chloe as that's what we was told her name was very attentive but not over the top to see if all was ok with our meal, would highly recommend this place both to stay and for the gorgeous food, will be back again Well done to all who work there to make it the lovely place it is xx

Perfect place to stay in Pwllheli

From arriving in the early evening i was lucky enough to eat in the hotel restuarant. Excellent meal had, big portion sizes and extremely friendy staff. Really good choice of drinks at the bar and all at a good price. The single room i had for the night was of a high standard, fresh smelling and clean. Bed matress stain free and clean bedding. Comfy to :) . Large bathroom in a very good clean condition, no mould to be seen or any leaks. All in all a clean hotel with friendly staff, excellent sized rooms, excellent menu and well worth the price paid. Most definately will be returning.
