Good location for the town centre but room very tired and dated compared to previous plus rooms.  Staff friendly and helpful. Carpark very convenient and not to badly priced.  Supposedly due a refurb soon??

The staffs and colleagues were so lovely and friendly and helpful .Sujata she was so helpful and made our day she showed us around the rooms and cleanliness was so good and reading is a tourist spot and it was worth a try and good experience book a room in Travelodge it’s cheap and worth it

The bathroom was dirty and the shower was horrible and the bed was so uncomfortable and only had 1 pillow. You can hear everything in the room both in the corridors and outside. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

I came first time in this hotel, The receptionist was amazing whose name was Sujata, marvellous helping to find out my reservation and very polite and humble and it's middle of the town centre which was easy access to the town and amenities .Very happy to stay here.

Very pleasant stay and room was clean and fresh smell. Hotel was middle of the town centre so its easy access to town, pub and restaurant Conney was very Helpful during  my stay and also staff whom i saw in the reception was helpful.

First class staff on reception, we we’re working and arrived late, the staff were so helpful, absolutely great.especially Viraj &Shakun who went out of there way for us.I would recommend this stay for its location, as it’s very very central.

Best hotel, cheap and reliable. Friendly staff. Ap and anjali. Would be better if there was a shower head in the bathroom. However, we would recommend this hotel to all our friends. Very peaceful hotel to stay at. 

10/10 hotel

We recently stayed at the travel lodge there was a mix up on our booking in which we had a double room instead of a family room or even two beds . I met syed Abbas in which he was rude to us and wouldn't help either way. We spoke to him and asked for someone else yesterday to speak to which the reply was they wont sack me. A lady came out and sorted the problem for us. She was lovely now syed says he cant do his job no more. I thought the problem was sorted now obviously not. I'm appalled by the phone call I received today off my boss as I thought it was sorted. Think management need to look at cameras to sort this as I'm not happy. We never asked for our parking to be paid so if you look at your cameras you will see this. And if you look at monday and tuesday you will see we spoke to someone who said he left a note to change our booking.  syed lied and said no note was left but the same guy showed us this morning the note he left  bad service for normally a good company

Shocked

When we arrived we were received warm welcome by receptionist Syed. We went to room and found problem. My husband wnet to reception and explained. Syed came upstairs and offered to change room or fix the problem. We decided to stay in room. Although he was not housekeeping but he fix the problem and ask if we want anything else. Good thing is for this hotel is situated in town centre as well as staff is always helpful.

Very very badly run.. with a very bad member of staff on the reception. Syed Abbas could very much do with retraining and learn people skills… I would not suggest this place to anyone whatsoever… not helpful at all… I would rather sleep on a park bench… due to this stay my company will no longer be using travel lodge again and when I told him that he said yeah that is fine very bad way to talk to people….if you are coming to reading I would suggest to stay somewhere else.
