We stayed here last weekend, everything was amazing from the minute we got there!! Lisa was fantastic and friendly, she even moved us to a nicer room, much appreciated, had all the amenities you could wish for, bed was lovely and comfortable, had a couple of drinks in the bar before we headed out for a meal! Stayed on the Sunday for a roast which was amazing, the chef and Lisa were super helpful with all of my partners questions 😂😂, thank you for a lovely stay, we will be back!!!

Lovely hotel and staff!!!

We booked The Old Rectory for my Stepdads wake. We had the Lavender room and catering. 
Ellie who helped us with the booking was extremely prompt and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for her.
The wake was a lovely send off and the staff were helpful but also very respectful.
Beautiful setting, great service and good price. 
Would definitely use again for future events.
Thank you so much for making a difficult day easier.

A hidden gem. Beautiful building set in idillic grounds. Service was second to none and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this establishment. Relaxed environment, a great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Lisa, Sarah and the team work hard to make your visit a special occasion. The Orangery is a magical room to spend and enjoy your time in a light bright setting with wonderful views. 5 stars

A hidden gem

We had our wedding on 15th March here, and we couldn’t recommend the old rectory enough! From the start they where the most accommodating, nothing was ever to big to ask! The food was incredible, the rooms were so clean and they literally had everything!! The staff are amazing, so helpful and generous! We can’t wait to come back one day, just beautiful! Thankyou to everyone involved

Wedding

I wanted to take the immediate family to celebrate my wife’s retirement and knew this would be the right place for it. 
We had celebrated our daughter’s wedding at the venue the previous year and couldn’t fault it .
The meal as expected was delicious and Lisa and her team made the occasion with their attention and service.
We were even given a tour of the newly refurbished rooms which have been completed to a very high standard.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend booking a meal or event at The Old Rectory House in the future.
Thanks for making my wife’s day one to remember.

Sunday Lunch at The Orangery

This is the perfect place for a wedding. Old Rectory House is a fine old building with charm and character in a great setting with lovely grounds. Lisa and her team were fantastic and made the day memorable for us. The attention to detail was impressive and nothing was too much trouble and all delivered in a calm and very organised way. Lisa took any worry away from us and seemed always to be one step ahead. Thank you making our Son's wedding a special day.

A wonderful venue

We went for a wedding and it was fantastic just the right size. Lovely location, Great Venue lovely staff great food. We would recommend to anyone who wants a private wedding venue. The venue and staff added to a great day

Wedding venue 

Where to start! Our daughter’s wedding was held at The Old Rectory on 6th August 2023. Everything was just wonderful. A truly magical day.

Special thanks must go to Lisa, who worked tirelessly on the day, nothing was too much trouble, Lisa  was there every step of the way throughout the day, we cannot thank her enough, from arriving early on the day, to let us in to the absolutely beautiful wedding preparation room, to ensuring that everything ran smoothly and to time, the Service, the Wedding Breakfast, Cake Cutting, The Evening buffet, Lisa had everything under control! She was even back to serve us Breakfast in the beautiful Lavender Barn the following morning.

The grounds are beautiful and the building itself is just charming. It really is a special location, tucked away where you would least expect it! 
We received many compliments on the venue, staff and the Wedding Breakfast, being the best food guests had tasted at a Wedding.  So our thanks must go to the Chef and Team too.

Thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes at The Old Rectory. Memories were made which will last a lifetime..quite simply one of the best days of my life…Lisa you are a star!


Magical Wedding Day

We had our wedding day at The Old Rectory House in May. The venue and grounds are stunning, perfect spot for our outdoor ceremony and welcome drinks. The food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.  Our guests all commented on  the quality of the food and service. The rooms are quirky and comfortable. The Lavender barn was set up beautifully the following morning for us to have breakfast with our guests before departing. Becci the wedding coordinator is an absolute dream to work with, helping at every step of the planning process and calmed my nerves on the day. 

Perfect venue for our special day!

Booked our daughter’s Wedding day at The Old Rectory House. 
The whole of the time we were there was amazing. The setting (inside and out), the food, the staff were all perfect. The one person that needs mentioning the most was Lisa who worked tirelessly throughout the day & evening ( she was even back to serve breakfast early next morning).
