When you “turn in” to the drive, the hill is a little steep so take your time.
After your let in via the intercom, proceed up the hill & keep left (its a one way system circle road).
We stayed in “Wood Pecker Lodge”.
Once inside, the cabin/forestry smell of the wooden lodge is lush (Well, we liked it)
In our lodge was bunkbeds, a double bed & twin beds - perfect for our family.
Every bedroom has tv’s, clean beds, lamps if you dont want main lights on.
Central heating was boiling.
Bathroom was spacious & shower was lovely (little condiments were a nice gesture)   
Hot tub was lovely & clean… thankfully maria popped by twice a day to check the levels of the tub cos you can never be to careful.
Lovely & peacefully, if you want to blast music, go to a butlins camp!
Kids enjoyed toasting mallows over the bbq lol.
When you come here to get away & relax, thats what you can do in lovely peace & quiet 
Would 100% return.

Read manual on table as soon as you walk in the avoid rule breaking!

Very basically equipped lodges. Items that are normally included in price are charged extra for ie: towels, robes, stripping of bedding etc. 
Wi-Fi very poor, had to stand outside lodge to get a signal. 
Hot tubs were good. 

Very Basic

We came for my parters 40th. It has everything you need. Steve (Logs you in) and is so professional  with COVID precautions It’s located a 25 min walk to good pubs/restaurants. We ventured out and the locals are Fab!! Make you feel so welcome. Recommend

Amazing

We are currently on our second visit to this site in two years. By far, one of our favourites.  Great value for money and Maria and the team are on hand with a speedy response if you need anything.
The lodges are cosy and warm and look to be updated from our last stay. All in all, perfect for a lovely peaceful break.  Thank you to Maria and the team. We will be back!!

Lovely peaceful break!

We stopped here in October last year.  The area itself is stunning and the lodges although close to each other, enough space apart so you don't feel overlooked.  We stayed in the Jay lodge and it was absolutely beautiful, proper wooden built lodge, not a caravan made to look like a lodge, one bedroom, so only small but very cosy, open plan kitchen/living room, bedroom and bathroom, bathroom very spacious and of course a hot tub, amazing.

Lodge was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay, staff very helpful and around if needed.

We did not hear a sound whilst we were staying here and only noticed people if they happened to be getting into their car at the same time as us.  Lots of squirrels running around, a pheasant that like to come and say good morning and lots of birds. 

It was just what we needed to relax, stunning place, will definitely return one day.

Peace and Tranquility

Just arrived back home after spending 4 nights over Christmas in this amazing lodge. With own private hot tub! And BBQ
Fully equipped kitchen, great shower room, tv in lounge AND bedroom 
So warm and cozy . Can’t wait to go back .

What a great find !

What a beautiful holiday site. The site is quite small, remote enough to feel like your getting away, but close enough to civilisation that you can order a takeaway to be delivered. The owners were so friendly and helpful they really made us feel welcome. The entire site is clean and about as covid safe as you can get these days. Check in was easy and socially distant, check out just involved us sending a text as we left the site. So many amazing walks on the doorstep, a great location if your looking to explore. A chocolate bar with the site rules was a nice touch!  The only thing I would change would be the supply of plastic glasses, only real glasses are provided and I didn’t dare take one near the hot tub.  There is a no music outside rule, this is taken seriously. For me it was great, I could enjoy the hot tub in peace.  However if you can’t live without music then take headphones with you.   Everything else was wonderful and I will be coming back.

Perfect welsh countryside escape

Lovely 3 night stay in lodge 15 with 2 16yr old boys. Fully equipped other than a toaster so we took our own. 

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. 

Hot tub was amazing, checked daily too by the lovely Maria. She was super nice and really helpful. 

Quick call out by Steve too when our boiler stopped working. Fixed within the hr. Just needed new gas I think. 

Enclosed area with lockable gate so you can keep children safe. 

The wildlife kept us entertained during breakfast.  The squirrels come up really close. Lots of different birds too including beautiful Robins.  

The area around the lodge could do with more lighting especially where the bbq is. We had to use our mobile torch to light the area while using it.

I think they could also maybe consider putting up a retractable washing line as we struggled to dry swimwear and towels.

It's a lovely area within driving distance to shops and local attractions.

We ate Sunday lunch at Ynyscedwyn Arms too which was lovely, which was recommended by Maria.

Overall a lovely relaxing break and looking fwd to going back.

Only criticism is the hoover stank of stale tobacco. 

Lovely 3 night break with 2 teens

Friendly welcome from the amazing Maria.  Lodge was spotless, warm and cozy. After unpacking, first task was to sample the amazing hot tub. It was always hot and could be used any time of day or night. Although lodge (Kestrel) was for two people it was very roomy and comfortable with TV's in lounge and bedroom. WiFi was fast and reliable. Beautifully situated and very peaceful. Only slight niggle - it could have done with a toaster.

We arrived to a clean lodge , Maria a lovely lady and very helpful came over just after settling in an gave us a debrief of how to use the hot tub and the rules, she took a credit card from us and said it was for damages as people had left some terrible messes and damage with candles and a tv. Didn’t think anything of it as were very tidy people 
The kitchen well kept although very limited kitchen facilities, 
No toaster which seems odd as there so cheap to but, the cooker was spotlessly clean to the point all signs as to the ring your lighting is scrubbed off so it’s was like playing Russian roulette . 
The shower was really tiny and if you're a larger person you would certainly have a problem, the bathroom looked a little tired but it was acceptable. 
2 days after our return we saw that we had been charged a £30 fee for not stripping our bed and emptying our bin I was totally gob smacked and contacted Maria who said she thought it was an extra service we required ..... I mean come on I’d put all the towels tee towels oven gloves robes all in a pile thinking I was being helpful , however we were told we should have read the small notice in the lodge that we would be charged if things were not done, 
I understand with covid19 and PPE required now extra cleaning is involved, I work for the NHS I more than anyone know about PPE, but I can honestly say the holiday ended on a very bitter note because of this and feel very cheated, 
Also be aware you now can’t get in till 5pm and have to vacated by 9am due apparently to extra cleaning of the villa... a joke when you should be doing most of it before you go .... 
Conclusion is we won’t be coming back due to being charged extra
