As per title. Manager is ridiculously rude for a start hotel is old and dirty. 

1 star is too many but wouldnt allow 0 

Steal money from customers

I wouldnt asvise staying at this hotel if the alternative was a sleeping bag outside the local tesco

Absolutey discusting hotel

More accurately described as Brecon Rooms on google maps and the not Brecon Hotel as the sign details on the approach to the property or as described by booking.com 

This is certainly not a hotel, it is a property offering rooms / accommodation, as there is no open bar or restaurant, nor do they offer breakfast, so it cannot be a hotel in my opinion.

Having said that the rooms are comfortable, clean, in good decorative order and I had a good quiet night’s sleep in the annexe building.

Located on the outskirts of Rotherham on a direct bus route to / from the town centre and the railway / bus interchange station. There is also ample free car parking on site. 

There is a Tesco Express opposite, handy for breakfast items.

The reception and welcome was okay yet expect nothing more from the staff or management, they cannot be bothered to say goodbye, you leave your key in a letterbox

Offering good value for money when I stayed … I can recommend these rooms just do not expect any of the normal amenities that a hotel would normally offer such as a bar and restaurant

Not a hotel, all they provide is a room to stay in…

STAY AWAY!!!! A dirty heroine needle and lighter was found in the back of the bed side cabinet in the twin room, contacted reception and no one was there, tried the owners number that was provided on booking.com and no response. So we pack our bags and go and knock on the receipt door that was looked. A lady related to the owner came we explained to her what we found and she didn’t care just said ahh ok. We have had to change hotel and this hotel will not refund our money, don’t help this hotel and hopefully they have to close for good as they don’t care about the people that stay there.

Avoid like the plague

I’ve stayed here 5 times this time I had no hot water I told the manager I was told it takes 10 minutes to heat up I was told there no hot water for 4 days so can’t shower for for 4 days or heat they did bring a small heater. I asked for money back the hotel refused. The hotel has gone down hill since June I had to ask for more tea and given 3 bags to last 5 days and 2 toilet rolls. Room not cleaned since I’ve been here.my room stinks of cigarettes smoke and the towels have a smell of cigarettes as well. There rubbish in the car park of old wardrobe and other stuff from bedrooms there is also stuff at top of stairs. This place should be shut down now I own a bed breakfast I’m Disgusted the way I’ve been treated by this hotel If this is how they treat a regular how do they treat our guess This is the last time I’ll be coming to this hotel is a dumb

Hotel from hell

Dirty rusted stagnant water in kettle, dirty used cups, shower that doesn't point down and if used fires out across the room hitting the opposite wall and floor (no way to adjust its balanced up on the wall), doors don't lock properly, high pitched sound all night. Such a waste of money and will never return.

Awful

Room very are very clean I was given a room around the back no breakfast or room servicing due to the COVID 19 no offer to top me up if I run out of tea and milk , tesco express across the road lot of parking bit noisy at the front with smokers on their mobiles ,good size tv. Not easy to spot but use Tesco express as your Mark the hotel is opposite

Don’t stay here the hotel is certainly not up to scratch , I’ve  stayed in much cheaper hotels in Rotherham that have been lots better and a lot cleaner !!!
I visit Rotherham quite a few times a year and will give this hotel a miss.

Not good hotel

We arrived to be told we would be staying in the back building which meant get back in the car and move it round the back. It stank of smoke. The room was awful. The carpet was filthy and the towels had stains on. There were bugs on the floor and the bathroom was disgusting. The shower curtain was brown at the bottom and the toilet had a big crack in it. If I weren't on a night with my mate I would have left and not stayed. See the pics. The bed sheets were clean though. Shame it didn't apply to the rest of room 27!

Dirty

we were told the main hotel was being renovated so had to stay in the annexe.
The room was dated to the 1960-1970's. It smelled damp and dusty. The bath/shower are we're mouldy and dirty. Stains on the bed. Disgusting mess in the tea/ coffee holder. With the milk being out of date and rancid. We got woken up at 2.30am by very noisy people upstairs.
I was marked as a no show by the hotel, for the only reason that I couldn't leave a review on booking. Com. There was no one at reception and no one answered the phone. 
We couldn't connect to the free wifi at any time of our stay.
I wouldn't stay here againif it was the last place on earth.

Terrible hotel.

Second time stopped here for an event in Rotherham, easy to book , pleasant helpful receptionist. A straight forward clean hotel near to the town centre at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking space. Only complaint is the size of the duvet, needs to be bigger.
