Excellent surroundings, elevated above the road, a river nearby.  Staff is very friendly and efficient. We had no needs that were not met.  Rooms were very nice.  Meals were excellent, and there was plenty of coffee with breakfast. We had the feeling we might just be part of the family.

Let's do this again...

We stayed at the lodge as part of a tour visiting the area. Such a pleasure at the end of a long day! The food was good and the service excellent.  Ian and Suzanne are wonderful hosts. It was clean, comfortable, homey and relaxing. 

A gem of a hotel 

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 3 nights with the tour group- Great Rail Journey. 
There were 25 of us including the tour manager. It was a really pleasant experience. Rooms were clean and good size. We could adjust our own radiator to our liking. Suzanne and Ian were lovely hosts. Service was excellent. Couldn’t fault a thing. Breakfast was very adequate and prompt service after ordering. Each dish at dinner time came out piping hot. Restaurant quality food each night and very well presented. Dessert was amazing and I don’t usually eat dessert. I highly recommend this hotel. The only negative which isn’t their fault is the patchy internet connection due to its location surrounded by hills and mountains.

Fabulous hotel

The Glen Spean Lodge has a beautiful location and a wonderful decoration in stylish Scottish manner. Rooms are large and pretty comfortable. Plenty of parking space. Generous bar and hall spaces. Good breakfast.Personal friendly service.Two problems need improvement. Floors can be accessed only by stairs (no elevator in a historic building - so carrying luggage should be offered. The wi-fi coverage is poor and unreliable. This can and sshould be fixed,

Absolutely fantastic place, the hotel is stunning with amazing grounds, very well maintained inside and out…. From a warm welcoming at the reception area, to great bar area with a good choice of whiskeys and Ales, relax in big chesterfield chairs for comfort, stunning gardens views, they have a great team, Staff were excellent! very friendly and great service. This hotel has beautiful gardens and amazing food, would recommend for that extra special retreat 10/10.

Glen spean lodge hotel Scotland

Ian and Suzanne were great hosts. They accommodated us on the Great British railway journeys. We were a party of 20 and everything was seamless. 
The place was absolutely spotless! 
And I mean spotless! You can tell that they work very hard to look after the place and make their guests feel welcome.
Breakfast was cooked to perfection. 
And those brandy baskets!!! Best I’ve ever tasted .

Brandy baskets to die for!

WE stayed here as a group with the Great Rail Tours of Scotland. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and is amazing on the inside. A very warm welcome from Ian and Suzanne on arrival and checkin was simple. There are no lifts so be prepared to hump your case upstairs. We were on the first flor in a vintage four poster bed - wow. The main meal was selected the day before from a choice of starters, main and desserts. I tried as much as I could and enjoyed them all.
The young waitress who served us was efficient and pleasant and I could mainly understand what she said. Plenty of hot water, towels etc. A nice bar to relax in before and after dinner.

Ot is highly unlikely we will be here again but would not hesitate to stay if we were.

Cannot find anything wrong with this place - amazing

What a wonderful hotel with spectacular views. Our hosts Ian & Suzanne were super friendly and welcoming.  We stayed in one of the twin bed rooms overlooking Ben Nevis.  Fully stocked bathroom and had tea/coffee for the room. We had 2 amazing dinners and breakfast while there. They have a nice game room for darts or snooker and a cozy sitting room. Beautiful gardens surround the hotel. Highly recommend if in the area. 

Siblings Vacation 

Beautiful location with lush gardens and comfortable rooms . The views are spectacular and location great for day trips. Suzanne and Ian were wonderful hosts. The food selection was diverse, delicious and artfully presented.  We were too busy to enjoy the amenities but they are available to those with more leisure time. Highly recommend.

Beautiful historic lodge perfectly situated for exploration.

Everything was top quality. The food was amazing and big portions. The quality of the ingredients was super. The owners Ian and Susanne treated everyone with such kindness, it was like being with friends. The views from the hotel were amazing especially Ben Nevis and the setting was so peaceful. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation and hope to return ourselves in the future.
