Stayed here with my son as he was at a party during the day. It was such a lovely clean place with everything we needed. The staff were so nice especially Rachael who welcomed us and made us feel at home. The room has everything we needed. Very well furnished and modern. The pub let my son stay until 9pm which was a treat for him. We can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

Wonderful stay

Amazing rooms, excellent service all round, fruit in our rooms x spotless oh and what fun we had!! On the hill restaurant was awesome food and a five min walk and we rocked the cons club a truly fab weekend 😍

Greta’s 40th

Had a lovely stay at the feathers for a couple of days. The staff are so friendly and helpful as are the locals. Everyone made us feel welcome. 
The bed in our room was  quite  comfortable and there is air conditioning and sky telly. 
The shared bathroom is bright and clean and has both a bath and a shower, oh and a mirror that lights up. I finally worked out how to use the lock. 
I liked the idea of making our own breakfast. Eggs,  bread, cereals etc were provided, in a modern, well equipped kitchen. 
Everywhere looks freshly refurbished and tasteful decor throughout. 
Or room was above the front entrance of the pub and on the main road, but no noticeable  traffic noise could be heard. We stayed Sunday and Monday so no noise from the bar. 
Would I recommend staying here?  Absolutely. 


So friendly

Great location, minutes to Tesco, town centre.
Very clean, comfortable rooms. 
For rooms requiring sharing of common bathroom, not an issue as share bathroom is very clean and shared by only 2-3 rooms.
Small kitchenette for use, with cereals, milk, egg for you to prepare breakfast.
But there is a bar on the ground floor, which may be noisy on Fridays/Saturdays nights.

Stay at The Feathers

Back in my mountain bike days I spent many a happy weekend in Ruthin, but this was normally in a tent on the Rugby ground in early September, so after getting super stressed at work I needed a break and a road road ride down to Llangollen then up the Horseshoe Pass was just the thing to lighten the load.

I’d put my wife in charge of the accommodation and she booked the Feathers for a few nights. Now it must be said, I’m not easily impressed, but I liked this place! We were welcomed upon arrival and I got the impression nothing was too much trouble. I had requested gluten free bread so there was a brown and white sitting in the kitchen ready for us which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and well well maintained and the community kitchen we found perfectly stocked with everything you need to set you up for the day. For those who like a beer, the bar is just under the rooms and they have real ales on tap.. enjoy!!

Overall we really enjoyed our break, the accommodation was perfect and ride did me the world of good, thank you, we will be back.

(For the roadies; climb out on the A525 then kick right on to the A5104 to Corwen, left down the A5 to Llangollen then a beautiful climb up the Horseshoe pass. When you see Ponderosa it’s downhill to the finish. 50 very scenic miles done)



Lovely place to stay

Booked the whole accommodation for the weekend as a group of 8 attending a friends wedding nearby at Pentre Mawr Country House. 
We stayed 2 nights, Friday and Saturday.
Fabulous accommodation, really spacious kitchen and large lounge, 4 bedrooms, 2 which are en suite the other two have a shared bathroom. This was absolutely perfect for us, we were able to bring & cook our own food on the Friday night in the well stocked kitchen, it has all the crockery, glassware and cookware you need. 
Lovely bedrooms with cosy beds too. There is a large terrace with a big table and seating off the kitchen which is nicely kept. Free parking at the rear is great and the owners/staff made sure our three cars fitted in.
We received a really warm welcome on arrival and were given loads of info about the pub and the local area too.
The accommodation is above what seems to be one of Ruthin’s busiest pubs, we knew this before we arrived as the staff told me over the phone and I did read it somewhere so we were fully aware and whilst this did not bother us in the slightest, it is noisy on a Saturday night, and anyone staying here should bear that in mind, the staff are very open about it and we were told twice again that it is lively when we arrived. We returned from the wedding on Saturday night at about 12:30am to the pub in full swing, the door staff stop letting people into the pub at 11:30pm but as residents we were permitted to go in for a drink, the door staff knew me by name which was nice even though having never met me and just showed that the staff had good communication. Had we not been exhausted after a full on day at the wedding I think we would’ve joined in the partying in the pub, but we all went straight to bed and fell straight to sleep and had a great sleep despite the noise! 
I would 100% stay here again, the surrounding countryside is stunning and Ruthin is a pretty town that I didn’t get to explore, this would make a fantastic base if you wanted to explore the local area for a few days. Lots of pretty shops and tea rooms, my friend and I were able to get booked into a local salon for a blow dry before the wedding too which was great. The accommodation is perfect for a large group as it’s so big you have loads of room and 8 of us in the kitchen on Friday night wasn’t cramped at all. Big tv’s in every room too is a bonus! Can’t complain about anything and would’ve loved to be staying for longer 😁

Very nice accommodation, clean,very friendly service and staff,communal kitchen well stocked.Pub downstairs,great,but not if you want a good night's rest,very noisy until 2am!

Easter weekend break

The Feathers is a great town pub, and always our first choice for an evening out with friends. Busy & bustling pub with a good choice of beers wines etc. Staff are always friendly & helpful, and keep the pub very clean & welcoming. Although we've not stayed in the hotel overnight, we have seen the rooms when friends stayed there midweek, and they are clean & modern.No meals served at the hotel, but there is a very good Wetherspoons just up the road, as well as a very good fish & chip shop across the road. Some outside parking is available. Also there is a great folk club every thursday evening throughout the year, with lovely candlelit tables and great music. Great friendly pub & well worth a visit.

Lovely hotel  with nice rooms with air con and large TV . room we had had the en suite shower .Clean and comfortable ,close to a cafe as no food at the hotel .I would book again . FREE car park at the rear .

THE FEATHERS 

The place was clean and comfortable with shared facilities. It did come as a surprise that we had to make our own basic breakfast from available supplies of bread,cereals,juice and eggs. There was a comfortable lounge which we found as we were leaving as we had not been told about as we arrived.
