Stayed here for  few nights for work. Previous photos don’t do the rooms justice as they are now brand new with en-suites. Nice big comfy bed, nice desk area to do work from. The usual kettle, tea and coffe with biscuits. Nice big hot shower with nice towels. Check in at the bar but was told I could have the key on an app on my phone to save me losing it. 
Had food in the evening (burger) and breakfast (Welsh breakfast) in the morning which were both incredible. Really good all round. Food has always been good. Rooms now match the same high quality

I came for some lunch with family on the 26th April the gent behind the bar was reily nice the food was amazing to the point were it left us full all day it was definitely worth the price we payed for all of it and will definitely be coming back again.

Last minute lunch spot 

They were able to fit us in last minute, travelling home (another 40 mins away). So friendly, couldn't do enough for us. We both had the roast beef Sunday lunch, with extra Yorkshire puddings and a side of mash. Every part of the meal was lovely and tasted so fresh. My teenage son even went as far to say it was the best Sunday lunch he has had. Thanks again!

Last Minute Sunday Lunch

Nice place, friendly staff, great service, good choice of food and drink, good prices, very nice food. 
We managed to get on at short notice as it's very popular and busy... Best to book ahead then..... .. What's more to say? We will be back 😊👍

Family meal

First time visit after hearing about this restaurant from friends and Facebook ads . I walk with a stick but found the few shallow steps down into the entrance easily manageable , first impressions were that this is traditional pub style restaurant that’s had a bit of a modern refresh . 
Warm and friendly greeting from staff , delicious food smells emanating from the kitchen! Chose the house burger and hubby went for fish and chips - both beautifully cooked , mushy peas with his fish were delightful! Minty and buttery, my burger was double patty bacon and pulled pork , lovely freshly made cheesecake with fresh raspberries as desert for afters - when we got the bill I couldn’t believe what great value it was too! Would definitely recommend this place 

Impromptu lunch outing

Called on a Saturday afternoon. Think they had just about opened.  Old style village pub that probably could tell some secrets.
Had the house special burger, a burger with chilli on top, really nice and tasty and well cooked. Had a coffee to finish, but sadly probably the worst coffee I have ever had served , couldn’t drink it. Tasted as if the water was old and had been in the pipes.Should have said something but I didn’t. Hence 4 instead of 5

Good

Fantastic food, good prices and good service. You have to wait for food as its made to order but it's definitely worth it. Its not far from dual carriageway and has got it's own car park. Card payments accepted. 

Quick lunch

Warm, comfortable, clean bedroom and lovely breakfast - very friendly locals and close to all the attractions.  Dog friendly too and good for solo travellers also ;-).  Good for a stop over night whilst travelling

We were invited for a meal on 22 May by friends.  There were 6 of us.  We ordered our meals I ordered chicken with garlic potatoes and peas.  My partner ordered steak (rare).  It was ok the presentation was poor really.  Piece of chicken some peas on side that possibly had been reheated from earlier and a bowl with garlic potatoes which was basically chopped potatoes in sauce that was like water with a bit of milk in.  I would not recommend this place for food to ant of my friends.  My partners steak was not rare. Chips were passable.  Not impressed really as it was not a cheap place to eat which I don't mind if you have quality. Not up to standard.
