Hotel itself looks shabby on the outside but was really shocked when I came in, think I came at down time as there were numerous staff scrubbing the floors. Nice to see people actually taking pride in their work. Breakfast was busy so make sure you book, car park was shocking. Nothing to do with the hotel I’m to understand but it was disgusting with homeless people sleeping in the staircase. Parked elsewhere. Not their fault

Lovely staff…..bad car park

We arrived just before 2 pm. Reception was miserable and also you can’t check in before 3 pm unless you pay £10. We went back to check in about 3.10 pm and the queue was out the door. Took 30 minutes for check in (by a human as machines broke). Lady on reception was so nice and she put a brave face on the moans she was getting. We were nice as realised company policy is not down to her.

Pay £10 or arrive after 4 pm

We would’ve given a higher score but the first impression of the hotel was of human excrement (and other drug related debris strewn throughout the connecting stairwell leading from the car park) which looked like it had been there for a while.  We mentioned this to staff only to be told that they knew about it and were sorry that we had seen it but they couldn’t do anything about it because it was the car park staff’s responsibility.

Compared to other Premier Inns that we’ve stayed at, I was disappointed with the dated and tired decor particularly the chairs in the bar area that were long overdue replacement/recovering.  Our room was also a little tired but it was immaculately clean and the bed, as always, was comfortable.

The staff were on the whole friendly and accommodating but a little uncoordinated at times:  check-in queue was huge due to system issues and only when enough staff came to assist did it start to move quickly (after a long wait in the cold).  Likewise in the bar, the queue was long and slow with only one member serving, but when closing time was announced a couple more staff members suddenly appeared.  

Breakfast was good, I honestly can’t fault the Premier Inn breakfasts for both quality and value for money with very good service.

The location is really good for the Arena, Printworks, Corn Exchange, National Football Museum and the Arndale Centre so we would consider staying again but I’d probably look first at the Premier Inn (Piccadilly) on Dale Street which is head and shoulders above in terms of comfort and decor, with no drug related issues.

We would’ve scored higher but …

Booked to be near to AO arena. Really convenient, lovely staff, clean room - what you expect from a premier inn. Hotel carparking facilities very limited but to be expected in city centre location - maybe introduce reserve parking facility upon booking.

Leona was chatty, friendly and helpful when checking into the hotel today.

The hotel room is clean, spacious and comfortable with a good view over Manchester from a higher up floor. The heating was already on so it was nice and warm in the room on arrival.

Friendly staff and comfortable room

I had a terrible night sleep here. The light from the corridor was flooding under the door of the room making sleep near on impossible. My key stopped working at midday even though I paid for late check out. The room was also very hot and stuffy with noisy air conditioning. I would not stay here again.

Terrible hotel. Worst premier inn I’ve stayed in

You always know what your getting at a premier inn and it does deliver what it promises.  I guess this is a older premier inn and we did find a oil filled radiator in our room ( we did use it ) but on this occasion I didn’t have the best nights sleep as I would expect from a premier inn.  Room was slightly tired in that the carpet looked like it was getting ‘tired’ of being walked on ..   price wise I can’t complain and it’s within a short walk from Victoria station. Easy to get to anywhere in the city. Love premier inn’s so rated it a 4

It doesn’t have Ant / Dec’s quick check in thank god !!! 😂

There was a double booking and the hotel and premier Inn customer relations wouldn't help. They told me to go to my bank. I advised my husband hadn't booked the second room. My husband never got confirmation of booking so I asked for a refund. Premier Inn declined. The other room was released and resold even though I paid for it

Very poor experience

Stayed at the hotel for a match with the family.  Great place to stay. Choose this hotel originally for the price deals but it was so much more. Staff were really nice and went out of there way to help us.

Amazing place to stay

Lovely hotel very central to the AO arena just a few minutes walk away the only thing was the breakfast let it down it's a Buffett breakfast but there was no croissants crumpets and a few other items where unavailable as I regard breakfast the best meal of the day i felt very disappointed 

with it i don't regard it was value for money
