What was good

The rooms were fairly spacious. The restaurant was nice and the meals were lovely. The bar was well stocked too. The location was ok.

What was bad

No onsite parking but chargeable in a public car park. Bonus it was locked at night but think that if guests are staying at hotel right next door a discount should be offered rather than paying same price as everyone else using it. 1st night free or something cheaper than £14.. The room could do with a blind at window to block out more light as curtains are not blackout ones. The chair is not comfortable and as I stayed on the business floor I would've expected a more comfortable chair at the desk for business people. I would suggest getting rid of the shower curtain and putting in a shower screen as it does not stay in place inside the shower and keeps moving letting water out onto the floor. Also a towel like bath mat for outside the shower on the floor would be a bonus to aid in not slipping when you step out of the shower. Also I only had 1 toilet roll and 1 hand towel for 2 people staying for 2 nights. Also my hand soap was empty next to the sink. Could maybe do with more seating in a lounge area downstairs for guests to sit in. Overall only small tweaks needed.
