When we arrived there was no welcome . We asked if we could order food How many? Two please. Here's your menus if eating outside you must pay upfront. No please or thank you. The staff member turned to other staff member and said no more walkins we're too busy. The food was the absolute worst meal ever. Nachos were burnt and strategically placed dips to cover the worst burnt bits. One staff member from South Africa was lovely   unfortunately she couldn't make up for the lack of customer service from the other staff member. This used to be a lovely place to eat. Is it under new management?

Very poor

Great food, friendly staff, dog friendly. Even can get a meal on Sunday evenings, which is unusual. Plenty of space and nice views, with play areas for children.  There is a large conservatory and books to borrow too!

very nice quaint public house with good food and atmosphere and friendly staff. in the countryside hidden away and a lovely driveway to approach the public house/hotel. It is lovely summer time and in the winter so cozy.

Just went for a family dinner here and was disgusted. Rude welcome, food had to be sent back, and no customer care still came out unedible. 
Risotto was swimming in oil. Kids burger was a dry bun with a wafer thin dry thin burger no garnish, lasagne was luke warm and bread that was supposed to be toasted was half done. The batter on chips fish and onion rings tasted like something off a burger van. 
Really disappointed. 
Ate at the notter inn last night which was amazing lovely home cooked food and very welcoming with excellent customer service.
We would not return to the crooked inn.

Having taken  our mother-in-law for a checkup in Plymouth hospital booked a table for after, had to move table time TWICE due to waiting times at the hospital and the staff couldn’t be more understanding or helpful! Once we finally arrived we were welcomed in and served a fabulous “home” cooked meal that really was home cooked!  Could not ask for more! We will be back again and telling all our friends to visit ❤️

Room was clean and comfortable, also quiet except for a generator running outside our room all night (though to be fair, it did not keep me awake for very long). Breakfast was poor - only instant coffee, only tinned fruit salad and the "orange juice" was not the real thing. I didn't have a full English because I eat only free-range meat and there was no indication that this was the case here.

We stayed for 3 nights in a ground floor accessible room and although it was a little dated it was clean and plenty big enough.  The courtyard outside the rooms was a little noisy at times during the evening on the Friday night but we could not hear the A38 despite being so close which was a nice surprise.  We had the cooked Breakfast and it was really good although it was served upstairs so people with mobility problems may struggle a little.  The pub itself is a delightful country pub which serves excellent food.  The staff however are absolutely fabulous!!! Everyone we met was kind, helpful and friendly.  Hairdryer was not provided but we were lent one from the lost and found.  Overall a great convenient location, good value and a nice stay.

After being recommended whilst visiting family we had lunch at the crooked Inn. Very very disappointing, the Fish and Chips were dreadful, soggy batter, thick skin, with LOTS of bones and the chips were very scrappy. The burger was dry and grisly with a soggy frost burnt roll, the chips again were tiny and scrappy. The risotto was bland and disappointing. No condiments were offered. When we complained we were told everything was freshly cooked and no apology was offered, they did remove the cost of the two meals that weren’t eaten but an apology would have been appreciated. Safe to say we won’t be returning.

Very friendly and welcoming staff.We were visiting the area to see family and this was the ideal base,local to where we wanted to be and good food for breakfast and evening meals.Room was very comfortable .We will be going back.
