Stayed for one night on a package deal, had a relaxing stay, lovely hotel, food and friendly staff. Only negative was price of drinks at the bar, £10.20 for a single gin and tonic and £8.00 for a pint of cider is pretty unacceptable, this was also the opinion of several guests.

Don’t normally write a review, but had to on this occasion!! Had a really good time away here with my Girlfriend for a long weekend. Food, service and drink was awesome!! We especially enjoyed ourselves on our lovely spa day. Definitely be going again in the future…

Amazing experience over a long weekend!!!

Just enjoyed a quick break up to Scarborough- I honeymooned here in 2012 and enjoyed my stay in 2024 immensely.
The hotel is set just far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to such beautiful countryside and many local amenities.
Rooms are spacious comfortable  and clean, staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious.
The spa is so relaxing and a must when you are here 


Peace and tranquility

Had the best night away . Our room was huge and clean and everything we needed. ( room 26) . The views were lovely of fields and was peaceful staff were polite and couldn’t do enough.
 Food was a stunning 3 course meal and the dining area was a good atmosphere with a separate room for those with dogs . 
Cosy bar with good selection of drinks . 
Breakfast was spot on next morning .

Spa was great! Just what we needed . 2 massive good quality hot tubs . A decent sized pool for a swim and a sauna and steam room. Used the spa both Saturday and Sunday morning before we checked out. 
Would  definitely visit again next year for a relaxing night away.

Lovely relaxing break

Great stay with friends. Booked a Suite with huge bed, separate lounge and large bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Food was exceptional and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed everything. Looking forward to going back soon.

The the booking process is very ambiguous. I signed up for a deal and instantly realised the deal has no cancellation. The hotel refused to have any conversation with me . You ticked the box so tough. The terms and conditions imply you have a 25% cancellation fee . If you continue right to the bottom it then tells you it’s 100% because you wanted dinner as well. Receptionist tried to help but the management refused to engage. I am told no cooling off period. Not even 5 minutes after the booking. So be very aware. Looking forward to going. 

Booking process. Be aware of the lack of care of management towards pensioners. 

This has always been a first class hotel. But with the addition of their new spa facilities and, the hire of a michelin starred chef it must rank as the best hotel on the east coast. The staff are very welcoming.

Outstanding pet friendly hotel

Tough meat, over cooked veg… someone described it as school food which I don’t think is fair, my school food was excellent! Pictures on website of the dining area, looked beautiful, the reality we got was cheap cutlery and paper napkins!!! No table table clothes and no atmosphere!

Worst Sunday lunch….

Lovely break at this peaceful country hotel. 
The manager was very kind and even offered to pick us up when we had a puncture en route.
Any issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The room was lovely and the food was amazing! Compliments to the chef!
Would love to stay there again.

Peaceful and relaxing east coast escape with fabulous food!

What a welcoming hotel. We had a very relaxing one night stop over and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was large and comfortable.. a perfect temperature. The hotel itself is friendly, professional and perfect. The meal was superb!
