We have just had our first stay at this
Bed and breakfast on the north side of Scarborough
Over looking on to the beach and
With sea views and views of the castle and the sealife centre
The owners were very
Welcoming when we arrived
Beautiful room very clean
Breakfast was delicious. 
And staff were very helpful 
We will definitely be back

First time my husband and I have stayed here and would stay again. Lovely 4 night stay. Spotlessly clean, wonderful hosts who were very knowledgeable and even gave us maps and bus timetables, nothing was too much trouble.  Fantastic breakfast to set you up for the day and the hotel was a good position in the North Bay for getting about on foot! Thank you

Great hotel, good location 

Once again, another great stay at the Paragon. Our hosts were welcoming and the hotel was spotless. Had a great couple of nights sleep, the Moretti was ice cold and refreshing and the breakfast hit the spot. We sat in the lounge over looking the North bay and were still sat there two hours later, that view never gets boring. We met some lovely people in the hotel and I'm sure we will return once again. Highly recommend this hotel, perfect location for a North Bay get away.

Excellent stay 

The room was expecially clean .The bed was very comfy and the little touches like the ear plugs and make up pads etc . Were very good . As much te coff re and biscuits .The breakfast and service was very good 

A good break and convenient for cricket 

I stayed here for the Sci-fi Scarborough event and wow was I not disappointed. Excellent location for everything you would like to do in Scarborough.
The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean with  comfortable beds. All the extras like having a USB charging point, Hairdryer,fan, clean fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries was an extra bonus.
The amazing food and choice at breakfast definitely will set you up for the day.
Free parking and lovely sea views to boot.
Mike and Lynn are wonderful hosts that will help you with anything. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again.



Mike & Lynn were very welcoming and recommended the best places to eat and good  attractions. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated although the 65 stairs to the top floor were a bit hard work sometimes! We couldn't fault the cooked breakfast, however the cereal was a little stale. The lounge was filled with plenty of board games and quizzes for a rainy day. The bar was well stocked but ran out of one of our favourite tipples.

Very helpful hosts

Booked short break to visit some friends who live in Scarborough. Hosts very welcoming, free parking was a great bonus when we arrived (although our friends parked a couple of yards from where we were when we met them apparently ‘because it is free?’). Breakfast was very good both mornings and the ladies waiting on were lovely and very polite (unlike one very obnoxious male guest who was extremely rude to a couple of the ladies but that is obviously not the host’s fault)

The view from the room was brilliant even though we obviously shared the bay window with the next door room (evidently a previously much larger room that had been divided). It was good that you could replenish the consumables as much as you wanted from the reception including loo rolls 🤔. Room was clean albeit very dated. Bedding was fine although didn’t sleep well on the lumpy bed. Shower was good and plenty hot water. Nice large clean white towels. 

Television could have been bigger, opened up a huge cupboard above head height (top of wardrobe) to find a tiny tv that you could only watch from the bed unless you moved the furniture and creaked your neck. 

Kettle was a small travel kettle that you had to keep unplugging from the wall mounted extension cable that was used for the electrics.  I looked but couldn’t locate ANY!!! direct mains electric sockets there were numerous extensions, one of which seemed to disappear under the carpet to somewhere ??? and not sure about the one ‘hanging’ in the cupboard for the tv so not a clue where they were turned off and on. Made me wonder when the last fire inspection was? 

The stay served it’s purpose but will be honest have stayed in better for the money. I was contacted to offer my feedback and opinion on our stay so this is MY honest opinion and bares no reflection for anyone else, quite obviously it is satisfactory to a number of returning guests. 



Adequate

Just got back from the Paragon. Room 8 was lovely and overlooked the sea. As always, Mike and Lynn were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Our train home wasnt until 12.35 so we sat and chatted to Lynn and there was no rush to push us out. Breakfast was really nice and fresh. The bar area overlooking the bay was warm and comfortable. The lady we met last year from Scotland was there also as we kept in touch and agreed to meet up again as we all loved staying there. Would highly recommend this lovely place to everyone.

Lovely stay as always

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Paragon. We stayed in room 7 on the second floor. We had a lovely seaview. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. The tv, albeit quite small, had several channels.  Breakfasts were excellent and there was a good choice. There is a car park at the hotel but we parked on the road opposite using a parking permit.  Staff were friendly. The Paragon offers excellent, comfortable accommodation in an excellent location.  We would not hesitate to stay here again.
