Well worth staying here. We were in room 5 which looks out over the conservatory at the back of the hotel. The bed was comfy, and the room was a reasonable size. The only meal served was breakfast (which was cooked to order so always hot) but this was due to us staying out of season. There are, however, plenty of places to eat. The staff were friendly and were particularly helpful when I emailed to let them know that I had left an item of clothing in our room. It was packed up and sent the following day, arriving within 2 days. Terrific service.

Well worth staying here

The location is great for exploring Seaton, minutes from the beach front and nicely nestled in the heart of the town amongst shops and other eateries. The room had everything you need to make your stay comfortable and I'd recommend requesting the one with the free standing bath tub as this was amazing! (Still has a shower too). The food served onsite is good and well priced, the same with the drinks if using the bar area. There's a a great outdoor space so you can enjoy drinks in the sun too. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating and I'd highly recommend staying at the Eyre, it was fantastic value for money especially with breakfast included. Would stay again.

Great value for money and brilliant location!

Had really excellent chicken burger and steak burger served with sweet potato fries. Would definitely recommend. Friendly and quick service. Good for when the rest of Seaton is shut on a Sunday. Coffee also good.

Lunch

Eyre Court is well located in the centre of Seaton and almost a stones through from the promenade. It is well signposted around the one way system to get into the car park from the back of the hotel. There are a limited number of parking spaces but we managed to find a spot for each of the four nights of our stay.

Our room was comfortable and although there were a lot of people enjoying evening drinks outside there was minimal disturbance later in the evening at bedtime. Unfortunately for the first three nights of our stay the hotel/pub was still without a chef and was not serving food. The choice of cereals and other items was very limited at Breakfast although the cooked breakfasts were excellent with locally sourced ingredients. All the staff were very friendly and ensured we had a comfortable stay.


A great location to explore Seaton and District

Central location, but quiet, parking on site. A few mins from the beach and tramway. Cosy older style rooms. Very pleasant staff and a good bar. Limited food other than breakfast?
Breakfast was excellent, as was the service.
Not luxurious, but a comfortable stop.
Let down 1 star by the poor shower- scalding hot or freezing, you could burn yourself easily- electric shower gamble...
Would stay again.

Great location and staff

Had a two night stay with friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Had a "luxury room". The only difference between this room and our friends' basic room was that we had a bath which does not warrant an extra £50!  The room itself was nice but you can see it has had damp problems, mould marks around the windows and in the bathroom.  A large window to open window would also have been good because of the heat, the small windows didn't help. and I felt claustrophobic.  This must also be a health and safety hazard because if there was a fire outside our room we had no means of escape? I did ask for a fan which they gave me and that helped slightly with the heat.

We chose to have dinner there on the night of our anniversary.   This ended up being a disaster because although we were on the same table, we paid separately (at the same time) but apparently the chef deals with the tickets as they come in.  Ours must have gone in amongst others, as me and my husband had finished our dinners before our friends' arrived! A big disappointment! We had also heard people the night before saying they had been waiting over an hour for their food.  Definitely some better management needed.

The breakfast however was really good and the lady that took the orders was lovely.

This pub/hotel could be brilliant with better management and the rooms/hallway/stairs updating.

Great location, room for improvement

A very nice small hotel with eight rooms with good restaurant and pub.
Good choice of beers, menu was not large but adequate, the choice of food is what you expect in a Pub, but the quality and presentation was excellent. Breakfast was again superb quality and well cooked, particularly decent toast and fresh eggs.

Our room was spacious and well equipped, albeit the double bed was quite hard and uncomfortable at times but otherwise it was very nice.

The location is superb, right in the centre of a quiet small town, only 150 metres to the seafront and public bus stop. It was never noisy in the evenings. There was adequate parking spaces for guests staying there.

The staff were always friendly, helpful and had a smile on their faces.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would go back there again.

Homely Hotel/Pub

The room we had overlooked the Main Street, centrally located.. Information about the hotel stated that it had an adequate car park on a first come basis. There was a prominent notice stating it was for the use of hotel guests only, but we did not manage to find a space in it at all. There is a parking problem generally in Seaton & as this hotel was also a pub’ it was filled by others.This could easily have been solved with a chain & key solely for residents. We were directed to use the street , on a steep hill which had restricted parking. Luckily, it was a bank holiday weekend,so we were able to park. On one occasion, we could not get anywhere near the hotel & had to park 2 streets away.
The breakfasts were freshly cooked with a reasonable choice, but no fresh fruit.i would not stay again, simply because of the parking issue. The staff were friendly & helpful.

A reasonable pub/ hotel.

Lovely settings Toilets very clean , friendly staff   We sat outside which was also very clean and smart lovely spacious tables  .As day visitors to Seaton we reviewed the best places to eat  we choose the Eyre as the reviews came up good and also for the location as we wanted to eat outside on such a lovely day . Sadly we was very disappointed overall with our food  we ordered fish and chips ,Peas  the fish described as 8oz was really small , chips very few ,tasted like they had been reheated , and small portion peas , not worth the monies paid and Coffee at £3.60 a cup which was nice but so expensive.We did look around at other tables which were full and wondered why no one else was eating  ,after we realised it it could be the prices and portion size.  So in our experience it was not worth the monies .

Eating out in Seaton

Booked a table for a dinner. Table booked for 7pm, arrived a little early and was given a warm welcome. Shown to our table. 

Went to the bar to order and was told they’d stopped taking orders as it was busy. They then asked if we’d pre-booked. Answer was yes and then they agreed we could order. 

We waited over an hour and 20 minutes for our food. Chased it twice - first time was told it was being played, second time (approx 15 minutes later) was told it was coming. 

Average pub chain food - ordered fish and chips, batter was a bit over cooked, fish salad (again nothing special) and a mixed fish board and a couple of sides. 

It was my birthday and it was somewhat spoiled due to waiting so long for food!

A family cancelled their order and another couple complained about the quality. Not what you’d expect from a big chain.
