Hayley and Nick are such a warm and welcoming couple. The Chestnuts is clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and nicely decorated. The breakfasts are varied, tasty and filling, with vegan options also available. The location is perfect. I didn't want to leave. 

This was my second visit and I can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended!

Excellent, welcoming B&B

Fabulous B&B with the best hosts, great breakfasts with vegan options and lovely rooms with comfy beds. Great location close to coast and great for exploring the island. Couldn’t ask for better. Would definitely recommend for a trip to the Isle of Wight.

The Chestnuts is a fantastic B&B and Hayley and Nick are warm, generous hosts - nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are cosy with comfy beds and our  delicious, hearty vegan breakfast set us up nicely for the day ahead. A great location from which to explore the island.

A great trip to the Isle of Wight

Nick and Haley are lovely hosts and their home is centrally located within an easy walk of anything you want to do in Shanklin.  Breakfasts options were generous and the food was delicious.  I really enjoyed my stay there for two nights recently.

Superb accommodations on quiet street

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The location was perfect. We didn’t have a car but we found the location is perfect for walking and public transport. We highly recommend the Chestnuts.

A very enjoyable 3 night stay, great location literally a few hundred yards to the beach. Nick and Hayley were great hosts and the breakfasts were always something we looked forward to.  
We had to keep changing our booking due to illness and they were very accommodating and flexible.

Fantastic!

We've lived close to the IOW for all our lives but have rarely visited. We chose the Chestnuts as our accommodation for a 3 night stay, we are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). We were greeted straight away at the door by Nick and Hayley, the owners, and had a very warm welcome. The room was actually 2 interconnecting rooms that are now a family suite. We had a double bed in one room and the kids had bunk beds in the other which they loved, the set up worked well. The main room and bathroom were compact but we had everything we needed and they were clean and a good standard. Nice touches like the beverage tray with kit kats replenished every day was welcome! The B&B is only a short walk (maybe 10 minutes) down hill to Shanklin sea front so we went down there to eat dinner and also the kids loved going to the arcade. Breakfast at the Chestnuts was lovely, you preorder the night before, it is delivered promptly at your chosen time in the dining room. The kids loved being able to have different selections every day, there is also juices, toast, fruit and cereals available to grab yourself. Very good poached eggs also! We were there right before they closed for the winter so only a few other guests apart from ourselves, so can't comment on how it is managed in busy times but it seems they have the best system in place to make it work well. There is free parking out front but it's tight and probably only 6 cars can fit there if everyone parks sensibly. There is on road parking but I would imagine this gets busy in the peak season. Thus B&B has everything you need for a nice break on IOW, friendly helpful service, good facilities and ofcourse a nice breakfast, would easily come back again.

Lovely IOW short break at the Chestnuts

Just back from a short stay at The Chestnuts. Location excellent only a short walk to the seafront and also the town. Very good breakfast, good choice of cereals, juice, toast and a hot cooked breakfast depending on what you wanted. Breakfast was always very well cooked and served hot. Hayley and Nick were very accommodating and perfectly happy to replenish our room with more tea bags and KitKats as needed!
Despite having to get up early to cook the breakfasts, Hayley and Nick were always available to join us in the bar in the evening for a quiet drink and a chat.
B&B exceptionally clean - we would recommend this to anyone.
